1  Re: Woodland Creatures Swap 2016 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Craftrica on: March 30, 2016 11:11:17 PM
Hurrah! I am sure Blu-Paisan is sooooo relieved that her parcel didn't get lost in the mail! I picked it up with much excitement yesterday. Even the mailing labels were suitably woodland-y!

Then inside, there were these cute and very warm hedgehog slippers, which used to be a sweater. How clever is that? And they are just the thing for me here in the Southern Hemisphere now, as the cool autumn days are approaching. I can see how much work went into these, and they are so neatly put together!

Then last , but not least is this adorable little painting of a dormouse, attached to a magnet. How cute is he? I am in awe. That is one skill I wish I had, to be able to paint!

It was worth the wait, Blu, thank you for swapping with me! I hope your veggie garden is all planted up already, in anticipation of using your harvest apron!!

Here are my very lovely embroidered buttons, which I received from Honeyd.

Aren't they exquisite? Look at all the different stitches she has used, and how tiny and detailed they are! Some serious embroidery knowledge went into creating these.  And what an original idea too.
Here is the cute little bag they were in as well

Sorry I couldn't work out how to rotate the pic!!
Thank you, Honeyd, they are really special!

3  Re: One Tiny Sea Creature in The Swap Gallery by Craftrica on: July 09, 2010 10:03:56 AM

Here is my beautiful Needle Case from Lanysmiles. How cute is that? I hope you can see the tiny seahorse she is holding! And how beautifully her hair is embroidered.Look at the cute seashell bikini top.   The attention to detail is amazing. I am very lucky! The rocks on the sea floor are even padded to make a pin cushion! This one will be well used! I also got a little Irish Thimble- just because we had chatted and swapped information about our respective countries! Thank you so much, Lanysmiles- this was a work of art!

4  Re: ACTIVE: Granny-A-Day crochet-along for April - start 04/01/10 in Crochetalongs by Craftrica on: April 18, 2010 11:23:59 PM

Here is my progress. Sorry-it is a bit blurry. I was hoping to do 2 squares a day, to make a reasonable size by the end of April, but I am still a bit behind!

Love those colours, One Pink Hippo!

Okay I need some opinions here please! Should I make my afghan from all 'flower squares like this:

Or does it look better with a plain granny inbetween, like this?

Here are the pics of the stunning package I got from our talented swap organiser. Everything is so beautifully crafted! And she got my taste down to a tee! The colours and fabrics are all just perfect for me!

Here is the gift bag , the shopping bag and the wash cloth. Look at the beautiful fabrics, including the linings!

These are the fabric napkins, with the knitted wire napkin rings (that sounds incredibly difficult!), a pretty embroidered and beaded jug cover and the cute card that came with everything.

Close ups of the label inside the shopping bag aqnd the back of the card. How cute are they?!
Thank you so much Kaz!! And thank you for organizing a terrific swap!

These are my beautiful bookmarks from Kayrun. They came with a cute card as well, which is good enough to use as a bookmark itself. She really followed my love of Nature!

Thanks so much!

PS The 'At Last' applied to me, for taking so long to post the pictures!!  Embarrassed Not to evilSabina at all!! I just realised it was a bit ambiguous!! Sorry about that!

Hooray, my parcel arrived! It was worth waiting for!

Here is the whole lot together, cozy, already on my pot, teabag wallet, scottish tea and sweeties!

This is a close up of the teabag wallet, filled with all sorts of exotic teas.

This is the 'Scotty' side of the tea cozy

This is the 'thistle' side of the tea cosy. Look at the lovely shaped top of the cozy!
Thank you so much, I absolutely LOVE my stuff. Thanks again to sweetmariavic for organising, too.

Here (at last) are the pictures of my great goodies which I got from slumcookie:

This is the whole lot together

This is the hand painted 'tea chest' that contained lots of teas, hot chocolate and some yummy chocolates to eat.

Here is my dainty mug on one of the crocheted coasters

I'm not sure what this is called, but it is one of those little thingies you put loose tea leaves into, then dangle in your mug, so you don't need a tea strainer. Plus some really cute magnets that look like cupcakes.

The beautiful handmade journal, with lots of journal prompts inside it

Aunt Martha's embroidery transfers, which are almost impossible to get where I live, so are a real treat!
Thank you again, slumcookie, that was a real treasure trove of goodies!
