1  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / New Insoles for Old Shoes! on: June 05, 2012 01:11:48 AM
Hi! The soles of my flats were looking quite grubby, so it was 'bout time that I made some new ones!
It's fairly simple to make using some thin foam and fabric and basic sewing skills.

If you like, check out my tutorial:

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Flowers from shopping bag on: January 27, 2012 01:33:02 AM
Hi!! I'm attempting to get back into crafting after a long pause...I used a tutorial from the martha stewart website and a pink shopping bag to make these pretties. I plan to leave the 5-petal ones as individual flowers and stack the 4-petals into a brooch.

Hi all,

I was totally inspired by sewmethesky's project : http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=153555.0

I made my own version with memory wire. I had difficulty with the crimping and that hasn't turned out great. I would like to gift this to one of my friends, is it gift-worthy?

Hey there everyone!
Here's my first hobo bag made using this tutorial!!
http://www.jcarolinecreative.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=JC&Screen=HOBO_BAG
it's a bit wonky! (and i thought i'd be clever to skip pressing , which i sorta regret now) but that aside, yay!

I'll follow instructions more clearly next time, yes sir! Cheesy
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / 2 bags,an ipod case, a basket and a checkbook wallet on: March 30, 2008 05:43:33 AM
Hi everyone!
Im posting after a long time.so some of these projects were done a few months back! Im a beginner at sewing (sometimes its hard to begin!) so I wouldnt say my work is top notch, hehehe! Also, forgive if the fabric is repetitive, after all Im still practicing! Cheesy

The first 2 bags I made with the help of  this tutorial (thank you ihearttrees!)
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=32264.0
Except that I didnt make them reversible and the second one is slightly smaller in size (also I took a photo of it before I finished it, thats why you can see the pins! Cheesy

Also made an armband for my ipod, and Im really happy with how it turned out! I let the armband part of it continue into the case so that I can carry a couple of cards if I need to (although it is a bit difficult to remove them, heheh)

I also attempted to make a bagsket courtesy of  Suzannes tutorial at foofangle (thank you Suzanne!):
http://foofanagle.wordpress.com/2007/06/26/bagsket-tutorial/
I didnt really jazz it up, I made just a basic model, not even handles! (trying to see if I could actually sew something like this! Cheesy

(I know, I know,  I havent removed the tacking stitches!)

And finally, heres a checkbook wallet I made using superstitchs tutorial (thank u superstitch!)

What do you think? Your comments would be appreciated! Cheesy and thanks for looking!
7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / 3 simple cards on: May 06, 2007 06:06:17 AM
Hi all!
Here are some cards i made sometime back...
The first and second are kinda-collage cards (from paper scraps).
The last one was paper weaving. i did some watercolour washes (different colours on separate sheets) and then put a candy wrapper (cellophane?) on top of it and let it dry. Then cut the paper into strips. Smiley

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / first t shirt recon~ on: October 17, 2005 05:09:07 AM
please comment!
i was inspired by a reconstructed mickey mouse t shirt someone did quite sometime back. ok when i cut the length and sleeves i didn't bother to hem!
how does it look? should i move the off the shoulder thing higher or leave it ? i just anchored it at 2 points so i can change it and it moves when i move my arms around too.
made the ribbon out of same t shirt scrap
thank u for looking!

yes my big frizzy hair is bigger than my head!!! lol
