Recently I have been addicted to amigurumi, but I don't know how to crochet. I can sew, paint, quilt, craft, etc. but I was never interested in crochet. I do love a good trip to our local yarn store and have quite the stash...not like I've ever been able to do anything with it, but the store just excites me with possibility. So, with all this in mind I decided to teach myself. I purchased a pattern I found online by La Fee Crochette for an amigurumi Eric Cartman (and all his friends). I really likes the idea and I figured my brother might like them. The pattern was pretty easy to understand and I was able to figure out how to make it using some tutorials online. I think the hardest thing was working on the magic ring. So, here's my first attempt at crochet. I must say working with the acrylic yarn was much easier than the cotton yarn. I would like to give something else a try...I may try one of Owlishy's patterns next...wish me luck!

I thought I'd like to start making quilted pet beds. This is only my 3rd quilted project. I really liked how it came out. Actually, I like it so much I don't want my dogs to use it.  Hope it gives someone a good idea for their own pets!

Here's my second attempt at quilting. One of my best friends decided to hold an art show. She does photography, jewelry, etc. She told me I qould need to make some quilted items. My first thought was WHAT?!? I CANT QUILT?!? And in one month I learned how. I've also posted the 2 other items I made. (A pet bed, and blue and brown).  Any comments/criticism would be appreciated.
