Whoa! Nice!! I like it with that grey color and the necklace. Wonder if a lace top wouldn't look really good too.

43  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Some birds sing alone on: September 16, 2008 03:42:13 PM
some birds sing alone....
and I think they like it that way.
Nobody's there to complain
or say you're not singing good enough,
or you're singing too loud,
only sometimes
they want to sing with somebody else.

44  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Two books on: September 16, 2008 02:23:30 AM
Thanks!  Cheesy

Those are lovely! Would you mind posting a tutorial?

Sorry, ancient Chinese secret  Wink It takes SUCH a long time to make these there is no way I can do a photo tutorial, and I may want to sell similar books (on rare occasions...) There were no powders or wax involved - not even sure what gold wax is. Since I hadn't made books before and barely used polymer clay it's pretty much my own recipe Smiley There are some more images on my website though.

Thanks everyone Cheesy

The covers are all polymer clay with fabric on the inside for a nice finish. The gold cord - well, I had it in a drawer.

There's a bit more info and pics on my site: www.afiori.com

This is me stepping out of the polymer closet
(or something like that), so, hello!

I made these books a few years ago; the one on the left is the first book I ever made!

After having seen lots of boyfriend books on jr_nal I decided to make one for myself. Only mine is a "me" book. (Not that I'm in love with myself.)

Okay, why are the pics so small? I'm using Craftster Photo Hosting.
Here's the link to my Flickr photo set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/14348107@N02/sets/72157607267968182/

and here is my jr_nal post with LARGE images: http://community.livejournal.com/jr__nal/4213398.html

all images, text etc are (c) me (except the fairy paper on the cover).

Please come visit me at www.afiori.com Smiley
