I just made a self portrait stamp I carved it from an eraser using linoleum tools.

The pic I used as a reference is a self portrait which I printed out, drew outlines in pencil on the pic, turned it upside down on the eraser and drew all over the back with the pencil so the lines transfered onto the eraser. Very faintly, but still. This is the third stamp I've carved; scroll down to see the others.

This is my aunt with a bag she 'ordered' from me at the beginning of the summer. She had a perfect sized retired tote bag which I used for size reference, but I made a proper bottom instead of making it entirely flat. I also cut out a flower from the fabric, stuffed it and added it to a ball chain. The design label is a computer printout (t-shirt transfer). So, anyway, my aunt showing the bag. (Would you believe she's 70+ ?!)

Here's a purse I made a couple of days ago. I drew the shape of the bag on a large piece of paper before I started, just to make sure it would be even. I really like the inside fabric; it's from Ikea. The large button is a spare button from a new cardigan I bought! The purse closes with elastic but I'm probably going to change it to thin ribbon.

I like the purse and it's really roomy and comfortable. However, it's a bit sagging towards the top middle, whether I close it or not. Any advice for that? I used medium heavy (I guess) interfacing.

Here's a book I made last night. I'm going to use it to write short stories / outlines in since I'm feeling writing inspired at the moment. (I'm home sick and was bored but ok enough to craft for a while!)

I bought the flower paper in Italy this past summer and it's great to work with. The Ex libris-label was bought in a shop here in Sweden. I trimmed it down and attached it to a small piece of flower paper. (Sorry the pics turned out dark and low quality!)

These are two of my newest bags. (No patterns used; I just made them up.) Here's my tree bag; I love it. (I've posted a smaller purse with swirly tree embroidery before in case it looks familiar.) It has lots of practical pockets:

I also wanted a smaller messenger bag so I made this one (just finished last night). I didn't know what to embroider on the flap but someone near & dear suggested I zoom in on the birds around the tree on the previous bag which I thought was a really cool idea, like a macro pic of part of the tree bag.

It is lined with fabric from a scarf which I cut in two pieces length-wise (it was really wide), so I'm going to hem it and have a matching scarf and bag...

I'm really sad rinse_repeat hasn't got her package - and more so if she has got it and doesn't say anything. Where are you? I've pm:ed you lots of times and can see you haven't been active for a while. Anyway, I swear I did not flake. These are the things I sent. A handbound mixed paper journal in colours you like, loteria paper and beads.

I received this wonderful package today from RubyTuesday! It contains beads, jewellery findings, a crocheted unicorn and turtle! (They can stand up on their own, btw; they were just tired from travelling.) Everything is great and your crochet skills are superb.

The turtle is called Pinkeye. She's sweet.



The unicorn (who is slightly more outgoing) followed me to a rock concert at school this evening. We had a good time and he became quite popular. Here he is with three lovely students and computer guy David (who performed an extraordinary version of Samantha Fox's "Touch Me" at the concert).

Here's a purse I made two days ago. It was my first Serious Lining with a zippered interior pocket, and since I once again pretended to know what I was doing I'm happy with it. The fabric was inspiring and happy looking (bought in the town where I live, in Sweden, in case you want to know). The flap closes with velcro. I winged it again; no tutorial or pattern.
