1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / saturday market bag on: February 04, 2008 04:55:51 PM

I'm sure there are lots of these posted, but anyway here's mine (w/mods by blogger distressed)

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Slouchy Spiral Beret (w/pattern!) on: January 07, 2008 01:10:54 PM
This was a really easy knit and I really like the result, I based myself on a basic pattern for this shape of hat and modified it as I went along so that it wouldn't be gigantic. I'm including the pattern below which was knit on size 2 circular needles in Shibuiknit's Merino Kid (in the honey colorway)

CO 84 sts
knit 6 rounds k2,p2 ribbing

round 1- *knit 14, m1* around
round 2- knit
round 3- *knit 15, m1* around
round 4- knit

continue adding one stitch between one knit round until you reach *knit 20, m1*- here begin knitting 2 rounds between increases until you have 25 stitches in each section

begin decreases:
round 1- *knit 23, k2 tog* around
round 2- knit
round 3- *knit 22, k2 tog* around
round 4- knit

after round 10, do not knit one round between decrease rounds (ex.- round 11- *knit 18, k2 tog*, round 12- *knit 17, k2 tog*) continue in this way until you have 12 sts left then *k2 tog* around, break yarn, thread through loops and weave in ends
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / lyrics necklace on: January 03, 2008 02:01:58 AM
I made this with some copper wire a long while ago. I made each word with a length of wire then made links to connect them. I've always liked this necklace but it's kind of hard to tell what it is while you're wearing it... anyway:

and a pretty, but very simple bracelet to match:

Sorry for the bad quality pictures, I'm lazy with the scanner and without a digital camera. Thanks for looking Smiley
