11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / 2 earrings sets: Nuka Cola Caps and Golden wings on: April 06, 2011 05:07:35 PM
So here are two earrings I made recently.
One I just made last night for my friends birthday coming up ( i got so excited I gave it to her early xD)
I made it with the Lost and Found Collection at michaels on sale and some pretty gold spacer beads.
heres a close up of the earrings on the "holder" I made.

all 3 Close up, Box and earrings, and her wearing them ^^

The box was actually a band aid box I pasted the paper over and wrote a note on xD

Then I recently made some Nuka Cola cap earrings from the video game Fallout(3/new vegas etc)
I made them for my roomie/best friend before she left for Texas for a weekend to see her BF.

her wearing them before she left

I'm working on making a bracelet and more earrings and such. NEED MOAR CAPS.
Thanks for looking!
12  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Sorry if the wrong place but any suggestions for buying bottlecaps? on: April 02, 2011 12:58:48 PM
Hey guys!
So I've been looking online for bottlecaps to craft with and have found some good prices...but the shipping is at least $5 or more. I wondered if anyone found a site or anything they buy from that may be cheaper, or come with more than 50 caps etc.

basically whom has found the best deal?

Thanks for any advice!

13  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / iPod Cozy Armband on: January 29, 2011 12:27:45 PM
Hey all! I recently made a vow to get in shape with walking/jogging/running and who could do that without MUSIC.
Thing is I don't have money yet for a nice one so I decided to make one!

I sewed together the lining and the outside fabric first and then sewed the two pieces together making one piece longer for the flap and attached some Elastic a little smaller than my arm. I just need Velcro to close it up. I thought I had some but I didn't :/
and now my roomie/bff wants one too! (prolly make one for the bf too lol)
Heres some pics

14  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Seeing Stars: Earring Holder- a little pic heavy on: January 26, 2011 12:13:46 AM
I'm pretty sure this is in the right place as I read in the Home Sweet Home forum that they want these somewhere over here.

So I made an earring holder out of a plywood star from Michael's, mod podge. star paper, and some electrical tape as a border
AND A DRILL TO MAKE ALL THE LEETTLLEE HOLES. Favorite part.

So heres WIP (no holes just smoothed over)

Back where I measured how often to drill and along what lines.

Finished with Holes

AANNDD finished with some of my earrings! I need to find the rest.

I just need to find a stand for it, I as thinking something like this

with matching color or something.

annnyywwaayyy thanks for looking!
again if its in the wrong place i apologize!

16  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Music Clock Gift on: August 16, 2010 02:20:06 AM
So my friends birthday was August 3rd  Smiley
unfortunately that is my grandfathers death anniversary and I wasn't up to making anything before that in preparation. So I just finished this clock for him, he really loves Music (has a tattoo of it an all plays a few instruments) and since he never wears anything I make him anyway I figure something to display on his wall would be better ^^
some before and after pics:
Before :

With the main four pieces:

With all pieces:

Materials include
a flat 10 inch wooden disc, drill to drill the hole in the wood, clock pieces, patterned scrapbook paper, I used Modpodge to glue the paper on, Industrial 6000 glue to glue the buttons on, Some cute Buttons as the "numbers", spray paint to paint the buttons the correct colors, and electrical tape to give it a nice edge!
:

I'll be making more (and as soon as I can afford all the clock mechanisms I'll need they'll be finished! One coupon at a time XD)
17  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Steam Punk Jewelry on: June 17, 2010 02:37:10 AM
I made these pieces after I made pieces for swap (to be divulged after sending on payday.) I made the first piece, loved it, and had to make a counter part.
So here are my moon phases!
First one I made, waxing moon trying so hard to be full!

Later I thought a dangley would be cute I found I would hate it and remove it but here is the photo anyway:

The Silvery Moon waning to the new moon (no NOT a twilight ref)ick

Both the moons together, distant lovers:

Theres my pieces! I hope you like em!
Comments always appreciated!

So by going to my local dump I can go to a shop they have to salvage items called Last Chance Mercantile. I saw a nice little set of drawers I could use to store random trinkets for my jewelry making.
Before Pictures (already started sanding when i remembered to photograph)

Then after, I considered painting more on it but I could never decide exactly what to paint on it.

and that's it! Cheesy thanks for looking!
