1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Alice in Wonderland Card Guard afghan on: February 24, 2010 08:32:23 AM
This rocks! It's so neat and well done (and beautiful to boot)! I am in love. And I am totally going to be one of the crazy fans camped out in front of the movie theater to catch Alice in Wonderland first.  Cheesy
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Christmas Scarves (3 of 5) w/ Pattern on: November 26, 2009 09:38:05 AM
That is such a cute scarf! I get kind of tired of making the normal straight scarf-y looking scarves, and this seems just as easy to make (and cute too!). Thanks for the pattern, too.
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty: Pop Art Portrait of my Cat on: July 27, 2009 01:55:20 PM
I got a new kitty from the pound about two months ago. My mom's birthday was soon approaching, and I decided I would paint a portrait of "Kitty Daisy" as the new cat has been officially dubbed. Originally I was going to submit it to the painting challenge, but procrastinating is kind of my thing and alas, I finished the painting about one week too late (and I'm just now posting it...).

Here's the finished product, a Pop Art-ish portrait of my cat.

Anyways, on to the photos!
Here's the black and white photo I used as the reference image. I used a grid to transfer the image onto the canvas.

A comparison between the photo and the portrait. I went for a more "general likeness" than an exact likeness for two reasons: I only had blue, white, green and brown paint- no black, and also, to keep my sanity.

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: New and Old Handmade Pins! on: July 05, 2009 09:04:04 AM
Those are all so cool! I'm not usually a pin person, but I would proudly wear any of those... especially the Singing In the Rain pin (I love that movie).
5  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Hot! Hot! Out of the Kiln this afternoon! on: May 30, 2009 06:14:05 PM
Those are amazing! I love the colors and the way they catch the light. I'm kind of jealous... if I tried to do anything like that bad things would happen.  Wink
6  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Star Guild Opportunity Quilt (image heavy) on: April 23, 2009 08:45:36 PM
This is stunning. The colors, the embroidery, the pattern... everything just works together to create a masterpiece. And I seriously don't think "Masterpiece" is an exaggeration!
7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Origami Lotus Ring on: April 11, 2009 02:03:48 PM
That's gorgeous. I can't believe it's made of paper and varnish. I love that it has special meaning too, and isn't just an insanely beautiful ring.
P.S. It rocks!
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Marilyn Monroe - Warhol Style - Afghan on: April 11, 2009 01:40:55 PM
Wow. I showed this to my roommate who is very anti-afgan ("too granny") and she has officially changed her opinion to "too granny, unless it's a Warholian Marylin Monroe," which, I guess is a start. This rocks.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: grad dress - UPDATE - GRAD PHOTOS on: April 11, 2009 08:02:53 AM
That dress is amazing. It fits beautifully and looks so expensive. I also covet the shoes...  Wink

such a cute idea. I would never have thought of using buttons to spruce up sunglasses, but it works. Good job  Grin
