21  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: few new things :-) on: September 10, 2008 06:42:54 AM
Thanks for the link to the slippers.  I'm going to make some of those for sure.
The dress is lovely.  I am also fighting the urge to make summer clothes.  I know if I make them now my daughters will insist on wearing them no matter what the temperature is.  Cheesy

I want that hat!
What beautiful work, all of them!
I adore the wrap dress and the owl, it is absolutely perfect.

I love these!
My favorite is the beige one with the longer darker hairs.
Way to go!

Great idea.  I loved that you tried something different and I hope you're graded accordingly!
I really like the outfit.  I would wear it, though I would be WAY more dressed up than usual. I really like the rich blue and golden yellow combo.  Whether it predicts a trend in fashion I am completely clueless.
Great work!

At least that is what I am asking myself.  My daughter found a Pokemon comic at our local thrift shop and it was love at first sight.  Slowly and surely the obsession grew and grew until almost every other word relates back to the weird little monsters.
So, to feed the fires, I made this

At the aforementioned thrift shop I found a bright yellow fleece blanket and he grew from there.
She loves him, wonky arms and all.

My first project post, here goes....

After a few years of wanting to get my hands back into clay this is what came out of my first class.  Nothing else I did was particularly interesting but her I love.  I got to mingle two of my passions, yarn and ceramics.  I poked holes into the head bisqued, glazed then fired then attached yarn and set it with a hardening agent.
The mask itself is red clay glazed with 'antique blue'.  I was very pleased with the result

These are really pretty.
I have never heard of dyeing with shaving cream.  I'll have to check that out.
