1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / HELP! I need storage advise!!! on: June 25, 2009 05:48:31 AM
Hey guys!

I was wondering if any of foxy crafters you have advise for a freaked out beader needing to reorganize.
I currently have all of my beading and jewelry making supplies and equipment in my art studio which I have to shut down within the next few weeks (thanks bloody recession).  I'm moving my whole operation home and don't have a lot of room to put it all.   Huh Huh Huh

In the studio I have shelves with various boxes and organizers sitting on them, but at home it will have to go into a closet.  I've tried the shelves in the closet thing before and have trouble keeping it tidy, SO. I've been looking into some of those multi organizer totes that have straps or wheels, that hold tools and organizing boxes.  Something I could bring out when I'm working, ya know?

Anyone have any experience with things like this?

Or maybe a better idea? I'm good at cleaning up, but I don't have a dedicated space in the house for crafting. It's my kitchen table.  Hopefully I'll be moving into a new studio in the not too distant future, but I need a good solution! AAAARG!!!! Moving and reorganizing is stressful.  Sad

(I hope this is in the right place to post this, so sorry if it's not!!!)

Yay! I love water colors and nautical themes. Very illustrative, it gets my imagination going and a story unfolding!

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: ***FIRST THREAD*** WALMART DRESS on: January 15, 2009 06:46:08 AM
Here's a pretty little thing made with junk mail, a potential process perhaps?

I bet bigger pieces would move nicely and be less daunting...

Don't forget to keep us posted on your digs bb!
6  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Fill A Mug Swap Round 3 (SIGN UPS CLOSED; SEND OUTS 11/01/08) on: December 19, 2008 06:36:04 AM
HELLO MUG SWAPPERS! Come on back and check out Bablina's Long lost package!~ HOORAY!!!!!!
I opened this INCREDIBLY heavy box, and things just kept pouring out...
I'll start with the lot as it came out (with one minor exception, I'll explain later)

The mug is a tea for one set that I've been using ever since (and right now for that matter!)
and it looks like the colors inspired her to paint a tea box, coaster and tray to match!
There's also a little tea bag cozy (which my gameboy is now inside of) and a little tea spoon

Top of the box:

Next up are some jar projects, loose tea, a cinnamon apple candle and some homemade? preserves!
I don't know what kind they are yet.. they're vacuum sealed!

A set of four coasters:

There is soooo much tea and hot cocoa and cider and sweets and chocolates and peppermints
and I had trouble getting pictures of the special towel cozies she made, but very pretty!
Finally, the item which came out of the box first and is absent from the group shot is this:

because I immediately put it on!

Thanks so much Babilina for staying patient and sending me such an awesome box! I love it!!!

Thats so weird, I used that address (my work studio) because it's so much easier to get packages there than at my apartment building. I get deliveries there everyday! Gah, I would so much rather use UPS or something like that for these things, they're so much more reliable! I'm really glad tho that all of your work and efforts weren't lost, that would be the worst!
