1  Eyelet Halter Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Tickle_Me_Pink on: July 06, 2008 03:37:46 PM
One day, in awful MN, a young girl of 13 took a trip to the fabric store, where they were selling Butterwick patterns for $.99. She bough 5 pattersn... than went back for fabric on the Fourth of July where fabric was 1/2 off. $9 later and she's on her way home to start making said dress! 5 hours later, and she's down. She discovered two things; that the dress was a tad to big for her, and that she hates Butterwick patterns with a passion. I She didn't use them, she cut the pieces and winged it. Comments/critism please!

2  1st dress, 1st project post in General ; fixed pictures! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Tickle_Me_Pink on: January 19, 2008 05:56:43 PM
I made a dress today! I'm sick, so my weekend consists of sewing and staying in the house. There was 4 episodes of Project Runway on, so why not make the dress I've been wanting to make! I got the idea from Smarmy [http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=219641.0]but I changed it from a circle skirt to more of a pleated circle skirt. I also changed up the length of the bodice and switched around the bust part as well. It was my first time working with a Jersey Knit before, so mind the bumps, I'll be fixing them tomorrow, when I make another dress with the same materials. Oh, and also mind the unfinished hem. I was to excited to hem it. Oh, and it was made without a pattern.

3  Pleated, Houndstooth Mini Skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Tickle_Me_Pink on: December 30, 2007 09:00:12 AM
I went to Goodwill again, and came out with this heinous houndstooth long skirt. My friend is addicted to houndstooth and wanted a pleated mini skirt out of it, so I made it for her. The worst part was the pocekts, filled with yellow tissues. We were freaking after we saw that. It was disgusting. So without further ado, here is my friends new pleated, houndstooth mini skirt.

Took like 30minutes for each one, and it was my first zipper! What do you think? Sorry that the pics are sideways "/

6  Scarf in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Tickle_Me_Pink on: November 04, 2007 04:04:03 PM
I love these scarves;

except there extremely pricey [on 50$ amonth for all clothing] and it's such a simple thing. Is there any way I could make that. I'd like it to be that material, not like knitted. Here's the link to the scarf;

7  Delias shirts in Stenciling: Discussion and Questions by Tickle_Me_Pink on: October 06, 2007 04:26:21 PM
Okay, I have 3 delias shirts I want to make. These are the three shirts;;

except with a regular O.

How could I go about making these? For the 2nd one I'll probaly just write it out on the computer using whatever font is closest, than print it on cardstock, use acrylic paint and paint the stencil.

But I have no idea how to go about making the 1st and 3rd ones. Any suggestions please?!

8  Vintage shop and Goodwill = Love in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Tickle_Me_Pink on: September 01, 2007 03:32:37 PM

I made these four things today. The Got Milk tee was just super oversized and I would never wear it. I turned it into a tank top. The top says "Wecome to the Gun Show" and I just made that so it fit. The dress I go up north at a thirft shop. It was this hideous dress that i made into a mexican inspired top. I'm going to use the bottom to make a skirt. And lastly I had this ... thing. It was a baby thing for adults, but I adored the back. Cut it up, hemmed it, and voila!

What do you think!?
