3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Does anyone have some advice for me? on: April 16, 2009 05:47:57 PM
I had some Canon T shirt transfers TR-101 and tried to transfer thick black text to a T-shirt using an Elna press at the cotton setting. The weird thing is that the left half of it transferred great and looked good. However on the right side, it was like the image didn't completely come off. I tried heating it a couple different times and still didn't seem that it all came off.
Does anyone have any ideas what went wrong. ( I know the transfer paper is old, could that the problem?) I have another pkg. that is also old but still sealed, do you think that would work better?
Really appreciate any insight someone might have! Thanks.

Are there any fashion fabric stores in Phoenix area? Something that carries finer fabrics such as silk, crepe, tencel, etc.
Thanks!

I am trying to make a very simple semi-fitted slip dress. McCalls 7443, View D [http://www.karensvariety.com/SEWINGCLOTHES/McCalls/M7443.htmI]
I have never made many clothes because I can never seem to make them fit right. Fitting just seems too overwhelming to me! If you change one thing then you have to change something else and so on and on. I have a wedding to attend in Sept. and don't have the time/patience to figure these alterations out.
Does any one know if you can hire a dressmaker to help you make pattern alterations? Any suggestions on how would I go about finding someone like that in the Phoenix area?   Huh
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Resin Help please...I have read many, posts on: March 16, 2008 11:45:55 PM
Thanks PeaceAndPrayer, I think that may be a good idea. Hello Color! and thanks for your suggestions too!
You know I don't know about being allergic to niobium and titanium. That's a thought...I know a long time ago I was able to wear something that was rhodium plated.
I wonder if I could find some jump rings in one these metals?? Huh Sure would love to be able to wear more of my own jewelry!
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Resin Help please...I have read many, posts on: March 11, 2008 07:27:39 PM
I am wondering if someone experienced with the use of resin could tell me if you could somehow coat jump rings with it, and if so, how would I do it?
I know, what would I wanna do that? I am highly allergic to anything but platinum and would really like to make some jewelry for myself that I could wear. And I made this necklace and really liked it out of jump rings.
Thanks for any help.
