1  COOKING / Dessert / Water Molecule sugar cookies on: December 22, 2007 09:58:14 AM
I made these Bohr's atomic models of water molecules out of sugar cookies as a small holiday gift for my coworkers at a children's science museum.  The mini chocolate chips are the electrons.  (Larger atom = Oxygen with 8 electrons. 2 in inner atomic ring, 6 in outer atomic ring.  The smaller atoms bonded onto Oxygen are the Hydrogen atoms with only one atomic ring and electron which bonds onto the outer ring of the Oxygen atom.)  Edible science!
