My contribution is a baby hat and booties set.  The set is knit from soft (and machine washable!) acrylic yarn.  The hat is appliqued with a felted cashmere patch, which I re-purposed from a sweater that had seen better days.  Using vintage floss, I embroidered it with a whale motif from www.lollychops.com, pinked the edges, and stitched it onto the hat.  The booties are decorated with coordinating cashmere "buttons."

The set is sized to fit a baby 0-3 months old.  I hope someone falls in love with it!

Oh my gosh, what a package!  That glasswork is incredible. 

Hm, you might be able to skip the adhesive if you roll the paper into a *really* tight tube around the ink shaft.  The only reason for it is to hold the paper in place while you put everything back together.  In my experiments, I found that If I didn't use anything, the paper would shift (or worse, bunch up) when I put the pen together.  A glue stick would probably work - I just go for double-sided tape because I think it's the ultimate craft tool, haha!

I love the idea of replacing the plastic tubes!  I'd also love to figure out something to do with the lids.
