I received a most excellent alternative to both plastic bags and those ugly Our Family bags that the grocery store sells from Reconstructed T-Shirt.

Close-up of the trees and fabric:

Next to a regular notebook for scale's sake:

Sorry no action shot, but the only full-length mirror is in the bedroom, and my husband's already gone to bed.  It's for the best because I've been roofing all day and would hate to commit that image to film.  But rest assured, the bag is great and she even included directions on how I can sew more of the same for myself!

Thanks again, Reconstructed T-Shirt!

I was clearing some space off my digital camera and thought I'd post these photos I took of what I sent to ktlady before I forget that I took them.

Here's one side of the packed jar:

And some sort of close-up group shots:

And the Disney charms I made for her:

I received from ktlady in today's mail!  Very exciting, hence the lots of pictures:

In my questionnaire, I said I'd like to receive anything having to do with letters or words and mechanical or electronic bits.

First, the jar packed and then spilled out (it was actually a recreated spilled out because I got to sorting before I thought to take a spilled out photo) on the beautiful fabric that the jar's lid was wrapped in.

And some close-ups:

Electronics!

Misc!

Jewelry!

And a great card holder (I assume inspired by the one on my wists)!

Sorry the pictures are blurry - I'm a camera novice.  Thanks again ktlady!

I received another postcard in the mail this weekend - what a pleasant surprise!

It reads: I couldn't think of a tenth secret so I printed this fairy for you to color instead.

Three more today:

"Jack of all trades.  Master of none.  And it sucks!  I wish I was passionate about one thing!"

"I really hate my job"
On the back: "I think it's because I don't care for the sick or dying..."

"I (heart) the Westside"

Two more:

It reads: "I want to be famous."

It reads: "I would like to get a vibrator.  But I think my boyfriend would get jealous..."

Received another today:

The text reads: "As a child, I drew all my stars as Stars of David.  Not because I'm Jewish; they were just easy.  I lived in a town where there are zero Jewish people, but no teacher ever told me what I was drawing.  I think it's because they didn't know either."

^I think it's one card per photo, in order to make sure that each card is its own image that is large enough to see in detail.

I received another one today:

It reads: "I want to run away with you."
On the back: "I'll go anywhere, as long as you hold my hand."

I received a fantastic shirt from Scaramouche inspired by the book The Little Prince.

Here it is being modeled by my floor (sorry for the dim lighting, it's really overcast today and we only have lamps for light):

And a kind of blurry close-up of the birds so you can see the subtle blue that she worked in:

She requested an action shot, so I had to put off taking pictures until I got ready to go to work today (Fortunately it was a day of conferences rather than a teaching day, otherwise I'd probably get in trouble for the t-shirt Roll Eyes).  But here it is on its own, and how it looks integrated into my usual wardrobe:

It fits so well into my style and aesthetic and I'm so happy with it.  Several of my students loved it as well and commented on it.  Thanks again, Scaramouche!!  Grin
