hello  Im sorry if this is the wrong place to post this... I couldnt find a place for it and i figured..it was a bag for a water bottle?

Anyway, i wanted to basically sew together some plain fleece and customise it for my moms xmas present but i want it to look nice and profesional(ish) so wondered if anyone had a tutorial to do this.
I did have a scan through the craftster search but didnt find anything...

Hiya, i was wondering if anyone was a experianced 'mittener'  and could give me a few tips!

Basically, i cut out my mitten shapes by tracing round my hand, from some lovely soft fleece i had spare, and all was looking great untill i put them on to find out from my boyfriend that they they look like a pair of oven gloves, haha!  How do i make the thumb part more.. shapely, or tailored (not the right word but you get what i mean!) so they look more like professional adult mittens.

(just to make it clear, im not knitting them, just cut 'n' sew)

Firstly, i am posting in the right section arnt i?

I really want to make a nice cozy sleeping bag, to stay over at friend's houses' and for summer camping!

BUT

i don't know how to go about it! Does anybody have any patterns? I can't see it being too difficault, its quite a simple idea...

what 'insulation' should i use? just the normal sheet of wadding?
and whats the softest material to use for the lining? 100% cotten?

is anyone who's made one before that can give me any tips?
