1  Another of my projects....Bandana Blanket in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by ravenladyj on: February 23, 2008 03:45:16 AM
I made this for my son (my daughters isnt quite done yet) after seeing a post here at Craftster (though for the life of me I can't remember where the thread is).....My boy has informed me that its his favourite blanket of all time LOL

The black and white bandanas unfortunately were cheap and within just a couple of washes the white was washed away which is a drag but even so...I am quite proud of it..Its 6'x8' btw

2  one of my projects...bra to dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by ravenladyj on: February 21, 2008 04:45:01 AM
Okay so I figure its about time I started posting some of my projects and getting some input from ppl....I've been sewing for several months now and still getting the hang of it since it'd been at least 10 yrs since I had last used a machine etc....

anyway, I started off with just a plain black bra

added some cherry material to it

and the bottom of a jacket dress I'd made many yrs ago but never finished and voila...keep in mind its not fully done..I still need to hem it and do some final things but you get the general idea..

3  Re: Laced up jeans in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by ravenladyj on: January 26, 2008 04:31:32 AM
To ravenlady,
I a;most always have to lenghten my jeans. If you look at the photo, you can see where I've taken out the hem to make them longer. Here is another pic of a different pair of jeans that I lengthened with some extra fabric that I had.[/img]

Now that I have a machine I've been considering doing that sort of thing...taking out the hem isnt an option since most of the jeans you get in normal stores are only 32-33 inseam (I need a 36 LOL) BUT adding to them in a creative way would work without a doubt..I'll have to give that a try  Grin
