1  PMC Greyhound charm in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Galena on: March 21, 2009 06:00:25 PM
mothers day pressie

I made the greyhound charm with PMC. the heart I just stuck on the pre-bought bracelet.

but I'm very very pleased with how the greyhound came out. because he's so dainty in places I didn't think he'd survive firing and polishing.  Smiley

2  Silver lining. PMC pendant in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Galena on: January 03, 2009 09:52:28 AM

it's more silver in the middle parts than it looks in the pic, not white like that.

I wirebrushed all over to get the frosted silver finish, then burnished the edges to give the clouds their silver linings.

4  my first go with PMC in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Galena on: December 29, 2008 10:59:03 AM
I did an ivy leaf, then some other pendanty thing, with a crescent moon on it.

the ivy leaf was fairly straightforward, technique wise. with the moon pendant, I only burnished the background, leaving the moon part only polished with a wire brush, so it has a more frosted finish than the surrounding area.

really pleased with these, and I've got more ideas I'm looking forward to trying.

6  Re: Twilight / Bella Swan inspired bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Galena on: December 10, 2008 04:22:45 PM
I like it.

very dainty compared to a lot of them.

I have to say I like the chunkiness of mine, which I got through ebay rather than making myself, as I couldn't find a wolf charm I liked enough.

but I had a lot of amusement seeing how many charm sites would have "customers who bought this item also bought this" and crystal hearts when you viewed their wolf charms.

so this is mine, which I didn't make myself, but I love a lot

I'll also be covered in iridescent glitter when the film opens on the 19th here.

I like how light and bright yours is.

7  Re: Attention Twilight fans. I need help!!! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by Galena on: December 06, 2008 01:47:03 PM
I can't remember the exact description, but the wolf is, I think, supposed to have it's head back howling, and be made of wood, but most copies go with a copper charm. and then the heart is supposed to be a diamond, although again, I can think of NO copies that have been as authentic as that. hehe.

this is my one. not the official copy, which I thought was expensive for what it is, but it was close enough to how I saw it in my head for me. I would expect the chain is meant to be silver, but I did really like the look of this chain with it instead. just got it on ebay.

8  "arterial" beaded bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Galena on: December 06, 2008 01:21:47 PM
well, that's what I've been calling it, and that's why I decided to add the heart to the chain.

the outer loops spiral around. I'm hoping to do a DNA inspired version, but this one makes me think of blood vessels.

9  Christmas Kisses Tiara in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Galena on: December 06, 2008 01:15:21 PM
I didn't have a base, so i made my own with copper wire, then added lots of beads, I beaded some mistletoe leaves, and used artificial pearls on headpins for berries.

so.

plenty of Kisses under the mistletoe at my Christmas parties, I hope

(please forgive unwashed hair and blonde roots)

one from a pattern in a magazine. a bit iffy in parts, but still proud of it, and I'll definitely do some more.

and a stretchy bugle bracelet, for my mum that wears a lot of coppery colours.

again, sorry for the swamping of posts, I just want to show off my projects so far. thank you for your patience.
