1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Pixie Hat on: January 04, 2008 12:20:32 PM
I found this pattern here http://www.straw.com/cpy/patterns/baby_pixiehat.html

Its the cutest little hat and was very easy to make. I made it in Caron Simply Soft, watermelon. Definatley will make more of these.

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Baby Set for Charity on: December 21, 2007 03:17:09 PM
I made this little top and hat set out of Caron simply soft brites. I love this yarn, I had to buy it from the US and the postage was as much as the yarn, but it was worth it! Someone should stock it in Australia Wink
Anyways, I don't have a little girl to dress up so I dontate most of my things to charity. It's about a size 0, I'm not sure, its been so long since my son was that little.

Flower detail

I'm not sure if I should put a few pink flowers on the top, they were really annoying to sew on.
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Little Geisha Needlebook on: December 04, 2007 05:00:15 PM
My sister and I decided to make some pressies for each other this year and her being a new knitter I thought I'd make a little needle book for her to keep all her wool darning needles in. She's really into all things asian so I thought she might like this. I also made another one the same to give to my secret santa from my knitting group.

Some of the pics are a bit crappy, my camera hates me Wink

I cheated here and glued alot. The ribbon on the front is a pretty velvet ribbon with lace on either edge. I got the geisha buttons at my local fabric shop. I think they are so cute. The red felt has come out more orange than it is, its really a bright blood red colour.
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Baby Set for Charity on: December 02, 2007 06:36:32 PM
I made this set for charity, its large preemie/small newborn. Modelled by my lovely baby born doll Wink

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Road Kill on: November 11, 2007 04:05:06 PM
This originally started life as a polar bear but I think she looks more like a kitty. I gave her to my sister Cheesy Sorry about the poor photos, my camera is being naughty Tongue

6  COOKING / Dessert / Banana Cake on: November 11, 2007 04:00:03 PM
For ages I have been freezing bananas that have overripened so as to use them in cooking later. I thought it was about time I actually used them! So here is my yummy banana cake with lemon butter icing.

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Dragonfly Cozy on: August 30, 2007 12:08:05 AM
I made this ipod cozy ages ago and only yesterday got around to buying a button Wink

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Butterfly Purse on: August 29, 2007 11:47:55 PM
Like most women Wink I have heaps of crap rolling around in my handbag and I can never find anything! So I thought I would crochet a little purse to hold all the little things that get lost, panadol, tampons, lipgloss, tissues.
The yarn is Moda Vera "flirt" which I got on sale for $2 a ball! I absolutely loved this yarn even tho I'm not usually an orange/red fan. I bought the cute little butterfly buttons at my local quilting store (no LYS). I also got a little dragonfly button to put on my ipod holder (posted in the knitting section)

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Quick Crochet Bag on: August 19, 2007 11:15:13 PM
I decided I needed a new bag last nite so I dug thru the ever growing stash and found some lovely pink and black acrylic. Using two strands of 8ply held together this little bag only took me 2 1/2 hours. Its relatively easy, I did an oval in sc then did the edges in dc with two rows sc to finish. A sc square inside became a nice little pocket to hold my mobile phone. All in all I was very happy with the result.

The colors arn't quite this bright - its the flash

Here is the inside. I almost lined it, I have some really cute pink material with black skulls, but I've never lined anything before, so I left it off.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / FO Bonanza! on: August 19, 2007 12:50:18 AM
After having a clean out I finally got some FO's together. Most of my knitting (and crocheting) goes to charity as I'm obsessed with baby clothes but no baby to out them in.

First a preemie hat, made with powder puff yarn.

Next a newborn vest, no buttons yet

And lastly a couple of beanies I found lying around.
