I am hosting a murder mystery in a couple of weeks and I have rum out of decorating ideas. The mystery is set in 1930's colonial India, the residence of Colonel and Mrs Hurley-Burley no less! I have some candle sticks and some very elaborate glasses, but I want create a bit more atmosphere and I'm stuck for ideas.
Not sure where I've seen this, I have looked at so many sites this week! (school hols). Anyway, the tute on how to make them is on the Martha Stewart website, they are so cool! Made from a pair of gloves. I was so excited about the first one I actually went out and bought more gloves! I bring you Giles, Tobias and George.
So, I started this top a while ago, the pattern is on the lion brand wool website. It seems I went wrong in a 'few' places (!) but I loved the stitches and just kept on goin'. It has turned into some kind of maternity beach type cover up, so i'm gonna keep it until I'm a little more rounded in the middle! It's not one of my greatest creations, but I love the colour and it hangs really nicely!
I kinda like it, not sure if I will wear it when the time comes. What do you think?
So, I decided to do away with all lof my newspaper cuttings and web printouts and 'scrap' my favourite recipes. It's stil a work in progress, but I am really pleased with how it's coming along. I am trying to use up al of my left over stuff to do it, and I have managed to keep the costs down so far. Anyway, here it is
I am taking pictures of the meals as we actually cook them, so the photo's are a genuine!
This is my first post so here goes... I have taught myself to crochet using the Happy Hooker and have made a few things. Haven't seen many Doris Doormats on forums so I thought I would add mine. Might put some more flowers on, have made them detatchable so I can move them around. Didn't put any in the middle cause it's gonna be winter before I know it and they'll get muddy. We are moving out next week and I can't wait to put it in front of my new front door!
