1  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Pimp My Shoe! Painting Kokeshi Dolls (big pics!) on: February 24, 2010 12:11:03 AM

I' m in love with the high sneakers for a long time. Reebok is my favorite with the bright colors and style.
But I decided to make my sneaker painted by myself. First I bought a Tiger sneaker and paint the bands with acrylic color to white. Then I start to draw some Kokeshi Dolls, Japan Fans etc.

I used Faber Castell permanent color pens and Edding Silver permanet marker.
For extra water resistance I used Mod Podge Outdoor for top coat.

And love the color
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / coral-turquoise tunic top on: March 26, 2008 01:26:44 AM
My coral and turquoise tunic top...
I used this pattern : http://www.burdafashion.com/downloads/downloadschnitte/easyfashion/efe971010.pdf
But altered it a lot as you see.
First I lengthened the sleeves, then add wide fabric ribbon to tie at the back. (Because it didn't fit on me well)
And sew some crystal like cabochons to the front yoke.

Six dollars?? That's amazing. How many yards of fabric did it take to make that dress?
2-3 meters i think. Skirt took much of it.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / new dress from old fabric with petticoat -again electric blue on: March 20, 2008 07:17:38 AM
I'm sewing things and publish them on my blog but forget them to publish them here.

This dress is sewn from a vintage fabric (almost 40years old) and the pattern is from Burda nov2007-107A
The pattern fit very good on me, i didn't need to alter anything.
I used it with my yellow wide elastic belt
What do you think?

so pretty! I love the color contrast too.  Was the top part difficult to make?  Ive been wanting to try something a bit like that.

And is your necklace a magnifying glass with an owl on top?  I can't really tell from the pics, but that's what it looks like to me.  I have an antique one passed down from my grandma that I wear with my jumpers too lol.
it's not too difficult. my necklace has two crystal, one big one small. But there is no owl, whish i had one  Wink
