here is the wreath so far... i have taken a break on it cause it's really really hard squeezing out that tacky glue...

i was just thinking, they sell styrofoam rings... you could probably use one of those and then you would not have to wrap the straw. i love it so far. by the way, where did you get all the same buttons???

i suppose the styrofoam would work... but it does get dented up easily and the straw holds shape...
i got the buttons on ebay... it was a 3lb box of white buttons... i think if i make another one i will use different colors, sizes, and shapes...

teehee... it reminds me of a big cheerio for some reason

that is a lot nicer then what my brother said it looked like...



i think now though i need to find a really nice velvet ribbon to hang it from the wall... but i havn't seen anything nice enough at jo-anns yet...

need::
- straw wreath (found at any craft store)
- ribbon or fabric (to wrap tightly around the straw)
- glue (i used tacky glue but you can also whip out your hot glue gun...)
- buttons, seashells, candy, etc. (use your imagination)

i must say for the first time embroidering and doing the simplest stitch i know... i didn't do that horrible... i mean everyone was doing such fancy stitches and those came out beautiful!!! i would love to see pics of the finished projects as well... here is mine, (nothing too exciting...)

the cover is made of a package of assorted paper i got in the scrapbook aisle at joanns and its called "Paper Reflections corrugated paper"

so i bought this shirt maybe 2 years ago or so... but i wore it only once and i have really wanted to try to make it into a purse...
i had a hard time with the straps cause i used the scrap fabric from the shirt so nothing would go to waste... but anyway... here it is::

this is my first attempt at shirt stenciling...  i used the spray adhesive on the back of the stencil and placed it on the shirt then spray painted... i think the paper i used for a stencil was just not thick enough cause as you can see it still bled... anyway... it is my first try...

so i made some magnets... i used a victorias secret magazine and some pucca stickers...
