4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Agnus Is Her Name-Handmade Stuffie/Doll on: January 01, 2013 10:36:05 AM

This is Agnus.  I made her sometime in the fall.

I started with her face, using a wool/rayon blend felt.

Her body is made of cotton fabric.

I  just knew that she couldn't run around naked, so I added this crude sweater that I made from... A sweater.

Thanks for looking!

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / BURLAP APRONS FOR COFFEE HOUSE on: November 03, 2010 04:55:48 AM
Someone(not mentioning any names) claimed me for burlap fabric in the ows and when asked how much I needed I told her as much as she was willing to send because I was going to make burlap aprons with whatever she sent.  And her response was basically that burlap is unsuitable for garments and blah, blah, blah!!! LOL  This is the second time in the past month that someone has told me a certain fiber was unsuitable for garments(the first was for a cotton knit hat).  Burlap is perfect for aprons!!  It is durable, has a wonderful texture and just looks cool.  And all of the aprons that I make with burlap are lined with cotton so the itchy burlap doesn't touch the skin.  I made these burlap aprons for my friend's coffee house and they receive compliments on a regular basis so I thought I would make more for upcoming holiday bazaars.

And they look even cuter on the girls at the coffee house than they do on Dress Form Donna;)  Thanks for looking!!

10  Calls for Swap Angels / Swap Angel Archive / 1 Angel Needed for CHILDREN'S SCAVENGER HUNT on: November 02, 2010 06:05:33 AM
I really didn't think we would have any flakers for this swap but we have one person who hasn't sent(send-outs were oct. 16th) and isn't communicating.  If anyone is willing to help out please contact me through a pm and I will give you clumsy_momma's info.

Find details of swap here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=357277.0
If you don't have children to send artwork made by them you can fill the 8th category with something else or just send the other 7.

Thanks!!
