I really hated not sending the sweater cause I don't know any babies and I've been saving it for when I do find a baby to give it to. It's just too darn cute to give to goodwill. And the little animals are finger puppets. So it's great for babies cause they are basically wearing some entertainment for when you're sitting at the WIC office, standing in line at the post office, grocery shopping or any other long outting you go on. When baby gets fussy just whip those boogers out and start making "bawk bawk" noises or "moo moo" noises while in the doctors office as realistically as possible. Trust me when I tell you no one will stare or laugh at you. 

yeah yeah, I'm boasting. It was my first applique and my kids stole the first set of pig/cow stuffies I made so I had to make another set. Then my son claimed both and daughter cried so gave her the second set. Finally I was able to make a set to send with the package. Hope Ruby likes em.


And here is the sweater I was gonna send you but it rose the price of shipping by 16.00. Crazy huh? Sorry I couldn't send.

EEP! I got my package today!! IT'S SO FREAKING AWESOME!! I just can't believe how much Deanna made for us. I had one of these http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=225325.0 on my wish list. She had mentioned something about making one so when the mail lady handed me one of these small flat rate boxes I was thinking well I guess she didn't have time to make one. I don't reckon a canvas would fit in this little box. So I bring it inside, open it and find a letter. She says there's an apron for each of the kids, little pillows for daughter's doll baby, some pajama pants for the boy, a chore chart (yippee), mickey mouse placemats, reversible fabric bowls, and a couple singlet style shopping bags. I'm thinking **She fit all that stuff in this little box?** On to pics:

First the coolest Singlet Style Shopping Bags. I love the colors. And it's so funny how the pattern is opposite on either bags. 


Next the super cool aprons she made for the kids. You can't really see it on my son's but there's little pockets along the front. I put it on him and he immediately started twirling.



The kids were dancing in them so the pic is a little blurry.


Then the super cool Mickey Mouse placemats (4 of them) and fabric bowls




And the super cool doll pillows for daughter (SHE LOVES THEM! She has the cat laying on them right now.)



Pajama pants for the boy that daughter will probably steal and he won't care. She still tries to wear his 18-24 month pajamas even though she's a 4T.


And the WAY SUPER COOLEST THING I'VE EVER RECEIVED for me!! You're gonna have to tell me how you made this. I love this so much better that the canvas one. I loved the idea but really didn't like the magazine pics so I'm so thrilled with this one. And I love how it's not all bulky. It's perfect! THANKS DEANNA!!



And you put a dowel through the top and hang it on hooks in the wall. And she sent extra cards for me to add more chores if I think of some.

She made the doll pillows and mickey mouse placemats since we are Disney fans. Deanna, you are so sweet. We love everything you made for our family. I'm doubting if I made enough now. I might have to whip up 10 more things real quick. hehe. Thanks so much! The kids said they LOVE YOU and THANK YOU!!

Looks like you might be skipping stitches. On the second row you work 2 DC in each DC around. It's hard to tell with the verigated colors but it looks like you got all 12 DCs on the first row. Then on the 3rd row it looks like you were skipping 2 DCs and then making a stitch. You should have at least 1 DC in each stitch. You don't ever skip one or two. And when you get done with all the rows on increasing you should have a flat circle. Then you just make 1DC in each stitch around for several rows to finish making the hat's length. Let me look at this pink one you did and see if I see anything that can help you. Your daughter is super adorable in that pic. Keep it up girl!

Yoda T-Shirt Tote Bag - Used one of my precious t-shirts I've been hording for my hubby's star wars t-shirt quilt I'm gonna make...one day.


Yoda Painting - 16 X 20 Stretched Canvas so it's ready to hang (My first painting ever so don't laugh please)


I made Jenni a Star Wars recipe book done in comic book style from episode V. I remember when I was her age and my boyfriend got sick of hamburger helper but I had no idea what to cook or even how to cook it. And I never had any recipe books so I figured it would be something fun and useful for her to start collecting her fav recipes in. My hubby has every star wars comic out there on the computer so I just lightened all the pages and printed Epi V out (106 pages), then added my fav recipes from food and family magazines (I have like 50 of them and I love them all) and then bound it to make it a book. She said her fav episode was V and Hans Solo was one of her fav characters so hope she likes it.



I left the first page blank in case she wants to number the pages and put in a table of contents. Then added breakfast, snacks, lunches, dinners and yummy deserts! And I left a bunch of pages for her to add her own fav recipes.










It was hard handing this stuff to the post office worker as I so wanted to keep everything. And I can still see my hubby's jaw dropping when I told him I made it for someone else and he would never see it again.  Anyways, hope you like everything kittenbonanza!

And I'm happy to say that I made everything from my stash! YAY! So I'm excited about that. Who knew I could make star wars stuff from my stash? I wonder what other kind of star wars crafts are lurking in my stash waiting to be made?

Yes. I sew one side of the back to the front (after I have my elastic in the casing),
(forgive my 10 sec sketch),
wrap it around my daughter's chest and adjust the elastic (by pulling tighter or making looser) and pin the other side of the back to the other side of the front while it's on her (leaving about a 5/8" seam allowance. Then take it off (should be easy since it's elastic), then just sew where you pinned. Then you can either check it again or if she's done gone to bed like mine usually does about the time I need to try it on her again, then just hope it's right and add the skirt portion to the top part. Then wait for her to wake up and see if it fits.

Just a note: Since the skirt portion isn't "gathered" to the top portion you want to make sure your seam allowances on both side seams of top portion and bottom portion are the same.

Eye Lids: Join green in first white st of left eye, ch 1, sc in same st and in next st, * 2 hdc in next st, 2 dc in next st, dc in next st, 2 dc in next 2 sts, dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, 2 hdc in next st, sc in next 2 sts *, sl st in next 2 sts on body, sc in first 2 sts of right eye; rep from * to * once, sl st in next st on body; finish off.

Back: With green work same as front - do not change colors.

Okay I don't see where you would reverse crochet at.

You are working around the left eye, then ss in the middle of the eyes, then working on the right eye. Here's where I would put the stitches.
