3  Re: $4.95 Swap AKA Fill a SMALL Flat Rate Box R2 Goodie Gallery in The Swap Gallery by dannispring240 on: July 01, 2010 01:02:45 PM
Soooo.... I recieved an AMAZING box from Juicebox about a week ago  Roll Eyes
I'm sorry this took me forever to post! The box came the day I went to Electric Daisy Carnival, here in LA, and I have just settled down after all the excitement (Yes, it was that much fun!!  Cheesy) **For all you that may not know, EDC is a massive rave that is held in LA every year (as well as a few other places). It was my first time going, and I had an increadible time with my boyfriend and my two friends.**

Anyway, here is the whole lot! Thank you! All the goodies are so awesome and I loved going through everything! It took me a good 20 minutes to arrange it to take some pictures:

Some close ups: I tried to pick favorites, but I love everything! Here are just a few interesting things that I thought fellow crafters would enjoy.

Assorted paper clips, jewelry closers, and wooden beads

Adorable shells! And Care Bears, and Spoons, Oh MY!  Grin

Beads! I love the Shhh one, the cuffs, the mouse, the turnips, EVERYTHING! lol

I am SO using that beautiful tulip/shell pendent on a necklace. Look! Fortunes! (One says "Some fortune cookies dont contain fortunes."  Tongue)

Mushroooooommmmsssssss~ And the dice are priceless! The love of my life and I met while playing poker, so gambling/games hold a special place for me  Smiley

I AM LOVED in several languages, including German, Spanish, and Hebrew!

WOW! I can NOT thank you enough! I love the fat quarters, and the sponge brushes, and ALL the beads/ do dads! Haha I could write a novel on how much I am intoxicated with this box, and how many different ideas I already have for these babies. You have beyond spoiled me!  Kiss

2. And then she made me a bunch of different stuffed cupcakes:
A yummy looking blue one, and a scented multi one. (He's still in his baggie because I want to find the perfect place before I unleash the yummy smells lol)

2 mini cupcakes with hooks, and a pin cushions (with pin "sprinkles")

2 magnets (They are kissing  Kiss)

A cupcake wall hanging! I already have the perfect place for this! This soooo adorable!

A cupcake tote: I <3 totes  Cheesy
Side one:

Side two:

And even some extra iron-ons

A beautiful scarf with cupcake applicays (and 2 extra to change as my mood does  Smiley )

I wanted to get a detail of the fantastic stitches, but when I did, the color was distorted

I wish I could truly express how much I love this package! You are soooo talented, I cant believe you did all of this in such a short amount of time! You spoiled me so much I thought the one I sent you wouldn't measure up  Undecided I was so scared.

If you like the yarn, I can get a lot more of it!  Cheesy My local big lots has tons of it. I only grabbed 5 because I didn't want you to say, "Great.... Fun fur to go with my 960712345073521 other skeins..."  Tongue  There are lots of other colors too  Smiley

7  Sailor Moon in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by dannispring240 on: June 04, 2010 12:45:05 PM
Hello!  Smiley

I have recently completed this doll for a swap member. It was a part of the Sailor Moon Warm Up Swap. (for an awesome crafter named Usagi-chan) Let me just say this, I love sailor moon! I have loved the show since late 1990s/ early 2000s. The show being the first anime for me, it will always hold a place in my heart. Well, when I saw the swap come up, I really wanted to be in it. But sadly, I couldnt at the time  Embarrassed  But!! When I saw an oppurtunity to angel for someone in the swap, I couldnt pass it up.  Smiley

Anyway, on to the doll. It was a pattern that I made up going along. I saw a few other crocheted sailor moons around the web, as well as on crafter, but they werent quite what i wanted to do. (I wanted something big headed, and just all around sweet looking) Needless to say, I love the way this came out!  Cheesy

With all that hair, she is definitely top heavy. But I couldnt deny her the signature hairstyle!  Tongue  This is my first crocheted doll. I've done a few cupcakes, a few animals, but never a human. haha

Enough talk! Tell me what you think!

...because Sailor Moon hangs out in trees... right? Right.  Wink

Isn't she cute?  Smiley  P.S. Her legs arent crooked, I just put her that way without realizing it  Roll Eyes

And another fun picture: A group shot of her and the other little critters I made her in the swap

Say "Cheesssseeeee"

I recieved from Juicebox29 yesterday. I was seriously spoiled!  Cheesy

As soon as I opened the envelope it smelled soooo good! (I thought she sprayed it with perfume  Roll Eyes )

Then I realized it was this: Bath salts! They smell like flowers! How did she know that I have been craving this lately? I feel so yucky and tired after the gym! lol

Then I saw this beautifuly made card with a special thank you from her niece  Smiley

SO CUTE!!!

She also made me some cute stitch markers:

And this little guy: I love Mario Bros!  Grin

Thank you so much! It was such a great experience to have such a wonderful partner. Enjoy everything and I hope it helps with lots of projects to come!
