222  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / A little birdie once told me... on: March 18, 2010 04:34:46 PM
So it's a little bit of fluff, but I've been feeling uninspired so humour me! lol

Tiny little wood board canvas and mixed media.

223  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / And a purple cupcake dishcloth with sprinkles on top.... on: March 16, 2010 02:44:23 PM
Pretty much the same pattern (aside from leaving out the stocking stitch rows) but with sprinkles on top!
224  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Cupcake dishcloth :) on: March 15, 2010 09:55:28 AM
Okay, so yeah...I love cupcakes. I saw some cupcake dishcloths on ravelry and decided that I should do my own pattern. So I kinda just winged it. The cupcake cup is just a kk, pp (26 stitches) and then I joined in a yellow and 1 knit row and then seed stitch for an inch. I then did a ssk decrease. I did 2 rows of ss, then started the seed stitch again for one more inch. After that one inch, I started ssk decreasing at every edge till I had something like 6 or 8 stitches left, then I cast off. I crocheted a ruffle and a cherry, et VOILA! A cupcake dishcloth. It might be a little more fun doing the dishes now.
225  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / A ruffled tank for my wee princess! on: March 13, 2010 12:48:47 PM
I found this pattern on knitty.com http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEspring07/PATTmonica.html and I LOVE it. It was so quick to make. I made it in a few nights and my daughter loves it!

226  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / My half of a swap with sunflowersmiles on: March 12, 2010 05:42:19 AM
Here's my half. She's making me an art doll for my little girl! Can't wait!

Les clats
8x10 acrylic and mixed media on stretched canvas
227  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Fun little 3D painting experiment on: March 07, 2010 10:28:21 AM
I had fun doing this little painting. I made the face and the little medallion at the bottom out of polymer clay and then used spackle for texture. It was a neat little experiment with texture.

228  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Shopping tote...a really big one! on: March 05, 2010 08:16:50 AM
I just finished this shopping tote. It's HUGE. I could fit so much more in this...

I knit it in a few nights, so it was a quick project. Here it is if anyone wants it Smiley http://www.blogster.com/nittineedles/goin-green-shopping-bag
229  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / A fairy with a secret!! on: February 25, 2010 04:52:13 PM
I decided to do something a little different this time. She has a face, for starters lol. And I used a little less texture than I normally do, and I extended the wing beyond the parameter of the canvas, just for fun. It''s just a super thick plastic, and I used a spray adhesive.

Thanks for looking!
230  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / A mermaid... on: February 22, 2010 09:24:58 AM
Under the Sea...Under the Sea...Under the Sea...Under the Sea...Under the Sea...Under the Sea...Under the Sea...
Ever since I was little, I drew mermaids and fairies. Kinda cool that 30 years later, I'm still interested in the same things!

Here's a smaller piece than what I've been up to lately. She's 10" x 3". Acrylic and mixed media on wood.

Thanks for looking!
