1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Website Design Copyright and Ownership Concerns on: October 13, 2007 01:30:55 PM
I am currently looking into having a freelancer design my website. In the designer's contract, it states that my "personal information will not be disclosed.." and that "the personal information will not be used to in any way unrelated to my website." However, the contract also states that the designer "retains all rights to work created."
I already own the domain, but does this contract protect my images, logo, etc.? Should there be an explicit clause in the contract to that affect? I have done some research and in many cases, it seems that the web designer/client rights issues can get complicated.
I would appreciate any of your insights.
-Thanks
2  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Discussion and Questions / Loom Recommendation for an Absolute Beginner on: August 16, 2007 01:02:14 AM
I am interested in learning how to weave and would love some loom advice. I am looking for something small (other than the weavette) and was wondering if the "Easy Weaver" was a good investment.  I also saw some similarly sized table looms on the market as well.  I would like to be able to make scarves.
