151  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Walk The Line on: May 10, 2009 12:09:30 PM
This is part of my Mom's mother's day present. She has a thing for Joaquin Phoenix/Johnny Cash. It is my first embroidery project besides a few boomarks. I hope she likes it. I was going to crayon tint it but I tried it on some scrap fabric and I couldn't get it to look right. It is embroidered on an old sheet. Anyways, please let me know what you think. Smiley

Here is the picture I was copying. I was going to use a cropped and edited version of the picture but after I was done with that part I thought the words and more of the guitar would look better. I wish I hadn't of cut the fabric already because the whole picture would have probably looked better. http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa317/hpaz/craftster/walk_the_line2.jpg
152  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Pirate peasant dress on: April 14, 2009 09:21:06 PM
I saw a post a while back of a Portabello Pixie Claire dress and I fell in love with the design. Here is my version/attempt at a Claire/peasant dress. I didn't use a pattern and although it didn't come out quite like I wanted it I still love it and so does my daughter. Please let me know what you think. Smiley

153  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / White Easter dress on: April 14, 2009 09:02:30 PM
This is my daughter's Easter/summer dress. I fell in love with this fabric when I saw it a few months back. I remembered about two days before Easter that I hadn't made my daughter a dress yet so this is what I came up with. I added lace ruffle to the bottom and the straps are lace trim that hooks to buttons on the inside of the dress so it is adjustable and easy to remove. Please let me know what you think. Cheesy

154  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Felt embroidered bookmark on: April 02, 2009 09:30:59 PM
I have been getting into embroidery a little and have been making bookmarks for friends/swaps on another site. I decided to make one for myself and it is my favorite so far. It is a little wonky but it was my first attempt at the feather stitch and the felt was hard to cut straight. Please let me know what you think. Smiley

155  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Harry Potter Sorting Lamp - (Pic Heavy) on: March 30, 2009 03:26:52 PM
I was trying to think of something I could make to go with my Harry Potter themed living room and I came across a red-orange lamp that I had bought about 7 years ago and never used. I made a felt sorting hat, painted the base black and then printed out the house crests and the sorting hat sayings from the book, cut them out and modge-podged them on. Please let me know what you think. Smiley

Turned on.

156  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Harry Potter Snape cross stitch on: March 30, 2009 02:07:32 PM
Hi. Grin Here is a Snape cross stitch that I worked up a few weeks ago. I'm new to cross stitching and I can't get the sizing right for the other characters, but once I figure it out I am going to do a few more.  I found the image on photobucket a year or so ago along with other characters. I can't remember who the designer was and cannot find the images on there to give them credit. Please let me know what you think. Smiley

Here is the original image.

Here is the pattern if anyone is interested. I changed up a few things that I thought didn't look right on canvas.
157  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Yellow Spring Dress on: April 13, 2008 03:29:53 PM
Here is a dress that I made recently for my 2yr old daughter. It is a little hard to see but it is yellow and white gingham fabric with white satin ribbon for the waist and the straps. The straps tie in the back. I would love to hear any opinions on it. Grin

158  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / ~*~From Polly To Edward~*~ on: November 11, 2007 02:52:28 PM
My first doll.  Grin I made it a few months ago. It used to be a Polly Pocket doll that my 2 year old daughter got from McDonald's back in the summer. After a little bit of black bias tape, acrylic paint, black yarn, painted toothpicks for the scissors, hot glue and some burnt fingers  Roll Eyes it became Edward Scissorhands.  ;DShe loves Edward and carried this doll around for weeks.

159  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Barney Birthday outfit on: November 11, 2007 02:44:20 PM
Here is my daughter's birthday outfit I made for her 2nd birthday. The top is basically fabric sewed into a tube top with green bias tape trim and for the straps. The tutu is the tie-on no sew that I believe was posted somewhere on here, and I crocheted the barney slippers. I also made her two cute hairbows with some leftover tulle tied onto hairties.

I also made a black & red tutu with matching top, but I don't have a picture of the top.

160  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / ~*~Barney slippers~*~ on: November 11, 2007 02:37:11 PM
This is my first project post, I have been lurking Cool for a while now and decided to post some things.  Grin Here are some Barney slippers I made for my daughter for her 2nd birthday back in August. Started with this tutorial and just added green around the top and added some yellow toes. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=127333.0
