I want to thank lovething for the amazing package!!! also, for posting pictures for me! I'm re-posting her pics, cause they were really good, and I'm going to add a couple more. also at the end of the post, i'm going to put teaser pics of her package, that should be getting to her this week.
Here is a pic of the awesome tote she made me. A lot of people that have seen the bag love it!
Here is me in my favorite hat ever!!
A button eyed squid, made from fleece. The eye is polymer clay.
An Other Mother button box. The colors are weird in the pictures but in real life they're closer to the movie. Also, the stripes do line up properly, but I accidentally put the lid on backwards in this picture.
A polymer clay key to Otherworld:
A circus mouse hat:
A tie for her boyfriend. I took a thrifted white silk tie and hand dyed it, then added the buttons.
Here are some teaser pics of the package I sent lovething....
Okay, I had this thought a little earlier today while driving along, and I thought it'd see what all of you thought about it. Since we're doing boxes based on the promo ones sent out, i thought hmm, wouldn't it be cute to do one of those little silver plates that they put on each box on my box?
But I would put "Handmade In Texas 51/50". But then I thought, well it might be fun if everybody did this! Once partners are assigned, if we were all given numbers for our boxes, something like 51/50, 52/50, 53/50, etc, like a continuation of the original 50. Or say we had 25 people do this swap, we could just do 1/25, 2/25, etc. And of course, rather than doing the silver plate, you could paint, or stencil, or draw, or write the letters/numbers on the box, or do something like a decorated little luggage tag if you were using a vintage suitcase or something else fun and creative like that. I think this would be a great finishing touch to make each box even more unique and one of a kind.
I swear to God, I was just thinking this the other day. This would be awesome!!!
