1  a few long awaited recons... in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by dirtydarkdiva on: June 05, 2008 02:10:34 PM
So this is pretty much my first post to show off some stuff I've whipped up. I've been sewing like crazy...made my son a Pokemon hoodie, been making stuff to sell, and finally got around to doing some recons for myself!  Grin
I'm much too anxious of a sewer to take before pics. An instant satisfaction kinda girl...hehe Hopefully, I'll remeber next time.

Boxy boring Freddy t-shirt turned into contoured & ruffled bust halter. The ruffled part used to be a bandana.

The same T turned pullover, fitted hoodie. I made the red and green stripes out of two old t-shirts too. Every part of it was a t-shirt except the skull bandana I lined the hood with.

I stocked up on what was left of these horror Ts at Wal-Marts after Halloween clearance cause I loooooove horror movies!  Wink

I did a few other recons, but haven't taken pics yet..

2  Flippin sweet hoodie for my son..GOSH! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by dirtydarkdiva on: August 16, 2007 03:40:28 PM
Cheesy Hi, I'm kinda new, well long time lurker, new to the boards though. I finally registered. LOL
I was about to take a bag of no longer fits/no longer used clothes to the curb(how I freecycle here...poor neighborhood. Whenever I put something out, within seconds it's been claimed! Grin)..anyways, I decided to put a few old things to use. My 7 yr old son LOVES Napolean Dynamite...I know weird kid. Cheesy and I had this boxy tshirt I never wear anymore, that along with a salvaged zipper from his old hoodie and an outgrown pair fleece sweats...tada.
He loves it, but I think I'm gonna do a bit more work before he wears it out in public (plenty of time for that, it's been over 100 degrees!LOL) I need to raise the sleeves up to where his shoulders actually are, it looks dopey right now.
