1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: What's everyone doing for Halloween this year??? on: September 19, 2005 07:31:38 AM
I work at an amusement park part-time, and we're allowed to wear costumes every day in October.  I will be working six days in October, but I only have three costume ideas:
1.  Clown.  I have a clown suit.  All I need is a new wig and some good makeup.  I might do this one twice, just because I love clowns and they scare the livin' bejesus out of people and it's funny.   Cheesy
2.  Pilot.  The Flying Coaster (http://www.coastergallery.com/2000/E42.html) is my favorite ride to operate, and I have a pilot costume themed to that ride.
3.  Tanooki.  I'm going to make a Tanooki suit like the one in Super Mario Bros 3.

I'm still looking for some more ideas, though, for costumes that can be worn in the freeze-your-ass-off cold (last Halloween it was 20 degrees in Denver).
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Re: Caesar's pages on: December 03, 2004 06:02:00 AM
Cheesy Deep down, he's really a sweetie.  He can't talk, but he knows how to give kisses and likes to sit on shoulders.  He can be mean, if he doesn't like you (he's been known to tap people on the shoulders to get them to turn around so he can bite their faces!), but he's nice to everyone in our house.
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: wearable food! on: December 02, 2004 10:03:05 AM
The sushi is so cute!  You could do more of those!  Little wearable California rolls!  And avocado rolls! I'm getting hungry.  A white rectangle with a strip of pink on top and a thin, dark green rectangle running down the middle would make a yummy piece of sashimi.
4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Pink&Red Ribbon Journal! on: December 02, 2004 09:46:01 AM
*GROK*   Cheesy
I have a plain, blank journal just waiting to be decorated and sent to a friend as a Christmas present.  I was kind of stumped as to how to decorate it...but now, I think I'll try this!

Cowgirl, I got my plain journal from Target.  It's big and it's shiny pink, which may be why it cost $7.
5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Caesar's pages on: December 02, 2004 07:23:12 AM
Caesar is my mom's Severe Macaw.  I made a couple scrapbook pages about him.

The picture quality for the second page sucks, and I apologize for that.  =(
The box in the top left corner is a little bit of information...
Species:  Severe Macaw (Ara severa)
Size:  Big enough to be dangerous
Favorite Foods:  Pizza, hamburgers, peanuts, pistachios
Hobbies:  Home improvement, martial arts

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Gift Bow Pin on: November 14, 2004 02:28:43 PM
That works much better than just sticking bows all over myself, which I usually end up doing every Christmas.  I might just have to make one of those!   Grin
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: first lamp shade on: November 13, 2004 05:59:21 PM
Cute!  I like the hearts...
8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Re: Just some shirts I've made. on: September 27, 2004 12:41:54 PM
Ok, the robots just made me die laughing.  So what if it doesn't make sense?  I'd wear that shirt until it fell apart.   Cheesy
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: 2 tees, no ideas on: June 22, 2004 11:23:49 AM
I once turned a t-shirt into a tank top by cutting the sleeves off and making it the same shape as a spaghetti strap top.  Instead of making the straps out of fabric, I used an old beaded necklace that I never wear.  It's cute, and may be worth a try.

There is also quite a bit of stuff in the 'completed projects - reconstructed' category (I'm actually idea-surfing right now)...
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Road Sign Skirt Complete!!! on: June 22, 2004 11:12:03 AM
I love that one pleat.   Shocked  And the road sign fabric is awesome.  If I saw one of those in a store, I would totally spend my rent money on it.
