2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / old towel on: July 08, 2008 03:11:20 PM
my DH's step mom gave me his old beach towel.
its worn thin, and very very thing in spots.

i was going to make it into a blanket by backing it with something super soft, but i don't want the towel part to fall apart.

Is there anything i can do to reinforce the thin areas or the whole towel?

I am making this dress for a sewing contest.

it is adorable but i am a bit biased.

i still need to put in a zipper, and make the sash, and i will be making a petticoat/skirt to go under..

its a simplicity pattern

i saw this fabric at hancocks when i was getting the stuff for our costumes.  it was a 1/2 yard remnant but it was too cute to pass up. so i made this pattern copying a dress i had.
