I have ten of these little guys and gals floating around my apartment! There two are my favorites though. Smiley

2  A Chimbley Sweep in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by MinaBeana on: June 16, 2008 12:05:01 PM
So, my dad and I are huge fans of The Decemberists, and one of his favorite songs is "The Chimbley Sweep". My parents are going to move soon, and the new house has a fireplace, so for Father's Day I made my dad a chimbley sweep of his very own.

Without his hat, showing off his suspenders.

And a close-up of his shoes.

3  Chinese Lion reduction print in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects by MinaBeana on: June 15, 2008 06:59:44 PM

The central part of my woodblock printing class that just ended in May. I ended up doing 3 prints of different Chinese lions, but this guy was my favorite. I decided he was still in training and wasn't allowed to guard anything by himself yet.  Grin

4  Veins, Hearts, and Ovaries- fabric pattern in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by MinaBeana on: June 13, 2008 01:43:37 AM
2 yards of fabric silkscreened with this pattern, with 2 different screens. My registration got way off, but I think it still looks pretty nice.

5  Tatiana, the resort-going cat in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by MinaBeana on: March 12, 2008 10:54:32 PM
A kitty I made a few weeks ago- Tatiana. She's snooty and proud of it.  Roll Eyes

She travels in style, and even has 2 dresses- one is made simply of strips or fabric and some ribbon;

But her other dress is pretty special to me. The wrap dress is made out of pieces of layered silk I hand-dyed in my textiles class.  Wink

7  Pudgy Unicorns - UPDATED! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by MinaBeana on: November 04, 2007 07:10:20 PM
I've been making unicorns lately. Four so far, but these two are my favorites.

UPDATE: Because I've had requests, I'm putting up the pattern for my unicorns. Smiley

Two rules:
1 - Please don't make a bunch of unicorns and try to sell them.... that's my job! So... make unicorns for personal use only, please.
2 - If you make a unicorn, or unicorns, show me! Post them! It would totally make my day.

8  Squitty - Squid/Kitty in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by MinaBeana on: October 03, 2007 12:14:44 PM
I've been making these little guys for the past couple of days - this is the best one so far.

I call them Squitties (but only in hopes of making smaller ones - you know, Squittens).

They're all made entirely by hand, as I don't have a sewing machine.
