11  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Insane or Brilliant? Embroidering Silk Pillowcases on: August 13, 2007 11:07:17 AM
I had an idea to make silk charmeuse pillowcases for my female in-laws for Christmas. If I make one for myself I'll be making eight.  I thought I could do a simple personalized embroidery along the hem for each person.  I could buy a silk pillowcase for $20, or I could make them for about $13.  I've done a fair amount of simple embroidery, but never on silk.  Is this a great idea, or dreadful? Thoughts?  Suggestions?
