I think I can take care of my embossing by simply filling it out... I have some filler that should do the trick! I've started something after hunting down some really thin needles. Tiny is good!

I think my outside will be fancier than the inside if I can pull off my ideas... But we'll see.

I'm going to start prepping the tin this weekend. My husband offered to share his paints so I've got some experimenting to do!

I found the tutorial for cleaning up tins: http://gomakesomething.com/ht/metal/prepping-tins/

I still haven't decided if I should go for it or not. My tin has some writing on the side that will show a bit if I don't prep the tin in any way.

Fitting it in the tin - no problem. Closing the tin - miiight get in trouble there Grin

But so far I'm just in the brainstorming stage...

I know I pinned a tutorial for different methods of stripping paint from tins at some point... I think one way involved a blowtorch Cheesy

Edit: I've decoupaged a tin before without sanding it. I think it would depend on the paper you used and the color of the tin. Thinner tissue paper would't work well without some kind of primer or lots of layers to combat the see-through-ness.

I've sent in my PM now too... It'll be nice to swap again.

I'll have to check the size of my tins...
