Wohoo! Riki watched Eurovision Song Contest with us last night. Sweden won!

Mom is brushing her teeth in this picture... The voting was too exciting to miss apparently Wink

I never use the time guidelines when knitting. Everything I make would be large Wink I think it'd be easier to show you what I've sent as small-medium-large. But in the end you have to make the call.

This scarf took a bit less than two weeks to knit (knit in the evenings and on busses if I remember correctly)

I sent that scarf in a swap where I needed to send a medium item. It wasn't hard for me to make, and the yarn is nice but not super expensive so I personally wouldn't count it as a large. Maybe a largeish medium.

This was made on and off during a week, but the knitting probably only took a few hours. I count this as a small.

This? A large. It took more than a month and I probably wouldn't have knitted it if it wasn't for a knitting/crocheting swap. We all went in with the knowledge that we would invest more time than the standard craftster "large".

Nice work on those trees! I'd say your flower is small, the others are harder to decide.

We did some Stockholm sightseeing today. First stop when we go to Gamla stan (the old town) is always the Science Fiction bookstore. Smiley

They've got all kinds of stuff.

Riki really liked these games.

Next we tried to infect the well at Stortorget. The well on this square used to be the middlepoint used to measure the distance to Stockholm on the roads going to the capital. The well dried up long ago (it was built 1778), but it still stands as a decorative piece on the square. Neat lion heads, huh?

Some of the buildings around the square.

You can see the Stockholm City Hall in the distance.

64  Re: Fake Swapping Craft-along (ongoing) in Craftalongs by Annchen on: March 29, 2012 08:06:54 AM
I'm way late with my simple/easy crafts swap. My wrist didn't like all that tight crocheting so it's moving slowly.

But my awesome partner helped finish this for me instead so it's ok to wait a bit for the hotpad.

It's been very inspired by this thread and it's all mine =)

66  Re: One Smallish Stuffie with a Function Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Annchen on: February 27, 2012 04:53:43 AM
Whew... What a weekend! We had more customers than we've ever had and... ugh... I'm glad that crazy week is over. But since I've got the day off today I was able to sit down and resize the photos I snapped earlier. And in case you didn't notice suereal posted some links to her pictures in the main thread. Go look at them too!

This was what I first saw when opening the box:

Isn't he awesome? He had munched up some of the other items in the box, but I freed them.

Looks like the bunny was hungry too...

Cute, isn't it? But watch your fingers...

Here's wolverine's new home in our IKEA room divider thingy.

And here's his function. He hides my sharps container! No more ugly yellow bucket that gets in the way. Only a lovely stuffie Smiley And on that note... I need to take my medicine and then feed him =) I've never been excited about that before!

Here he is hanging out with some of my other stuffies. The bear and owl are also from swaps, the pig was my first item knitted from a pattern and the snake was made by my cousin Smiley Little snakey seems to be the only one that isn't alarmed by the microbe arsenal Wink

And here are the owls hanging out on the living room table.

Zippers are great mouths. Look what I got in a swap (not a stuffie, but it does have a function)

And here's my favourite stuffie with a function (that I made):

The function is a storage part in the mouth... He he Smiley

Sorry about the delay... Here's the rest of the goodies from littlebluegirl. Awesome, awesome MYB.

Two of my many favourites in the ball:

This little dude. I need to knit him some friends Smiley He's currently hanging out with an adorable knitted bunny I got from littlebluegirl last time.

And this beautiful hoop. Smiley

I've used the tea wallet so much already, and it was filled with tasty tea Smiley

I think this is for keeping track of your yarn ball so it doesn't escape. Correct me if I'm wrong. I like the flower button Smiley

More goodies. The chocolate was very tasty and the tea is one of my favourite teas.

Safety eyes! I'm so happy because they can be hard to find here.

And even mooore Smiley

There was also a gorgeous Suday Rose scarf, but I stupidly started wearing it before photographing it and it's now hiding. You just have to trust me that it's beautiful and soft. You can see the lovely blue colour in the first picture I posted of the ball.
