71  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Reconstructed sweater to a Cute top with a stencil on it!! on: January 17, 2006 09:31:47 AM
making the shirt took about a half an hour, and the stencil itself took awhile, because i cut it out of cardboard from a cereal box (had to transfer it on there) and then for the paint to dry it took about an hour or so.  so tell me what you guys think!!

i have a question about constructing the back of it, how did you put it together.. just sewed it? because wouldnt that make it a little bit loose. so after thinking about this question, i came to another conclusion.. what if you folded over the points and sewed little clasps on the back?? wouldnt that work also..  because it was a slip off top.. i think.. so then it could be like a back do-up top.. i dunno if anyone could make sense of my gibberish.

This black skirt has a liner underneath because my material was really thin, plus there is a waist band at the top, and zippered on the back with a hook at the top.
I tried to make one of those ruffle skirts, and yeah i forgot to ruffle it.. lol.
This is the first skirt i've ever made, i made it last year, even though its choppy looking it still looks cool Cheesy
