21  Re: Ongoing Offer What You Have Swap - February 09 in New Swap Theme Ideas by wx2dzug on: February 25, 2009 06:59:40 PM
OK, I made a claim, so lets get this moving again!!

I would have claimed sooner, but here is my room currently

And this was my inspiration (maybe if I keep acquiring postcards my room will someday look like this)

This was where I stayed in Germany (which has amazing free postcards) and there was no visible wall (not even ceiling) because of the postcards

Anyway, gotta love postcards, and I just thought I would share.

Now get claiming hehehe

Also Riechan, I completely understand if due to your Grandma's health issues if you have to delay awhile in sending.

OK, I am going to claim 10 postcards, this is against my better judgment (see the discussion thread) but they are addictive and we do need to keep the swap moving.  I would like A1 A3 B4 C1 D1 D2 D6 E4 F4 F2

Claims Allowed (Outstanding): 2
Claims made so far: 2
Sendouts Not Sent: 0
Sendouts Sent: 1
Sendouts in Transit: 0
Sendouts Received: 1

Here is my list (don't mind my pink sheets):

PICK ONE:

A mini lunchbox tin (peanuts) filled with assorted dried and pressed flowers.  I have been saving these for ages to make something, and they smell really nice, but I think they would be of better use to someone else.

Ribbon bangles
Choose 3 as one claim, or 1 as 1/2 a claim.  The red and white ones count as 1 since they are a set.

Customized 1 inch pins.  I will make you 20 of these with whatever you want on them.  It can be 20 of the same picture, or a combination of different things.  Choose 10 as 1/2 claim.

Make your own sock monkey kit.  I will include socks, eyes, instructions, and clothes

Eraser clay

Most of the colors are unopened, and it comes with a rolling tool.

Sorry about the blurry picture.  A bracelet and a necklace.  Choose one as 1/2 a claim or both as 1 claim.

PICK TWO:

Tupperware of ponybeads.  Includes some glow in the dark and sparkle ones.

Size XXS shirt with beautiful beaded neckline.  I think this could be used to make something like a purse.

Hello Kitty fuzzy poster kit. Includes 2 posters

Size RR (14-20 United States, 40-46 Europe) Halloween costume pattern

Vintage knitting book.  Includes pictures and instructions for about 10 projects.

23  Re: February 2009 Birthday Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by wx2dzug on: February 21, 2009 08:03:43 PM
OK, Pictures...finally.
Sorry I can't find the cord to charge my camera, so I had to sort of point and guess because the screen wouldn't turn on.  Anyway, here's the pictures.

Here is the apron, it is reversible (I'm not sure if it was meant to be, but it works fine on the other side too (solid green), I tried to take a picture, but my camera died completely before I could).  Anyway, I really like the little pocket and everything, I'll be the most stylish cook for miles!

And then some seed beads to make jewelry.

Everything was wrapped up nicely in tissue paper and there was a card.  but of course I tore it all open before taking pictures (I mean, who wouldn't)

Well, I'm glad that I got to start the gallery, can't wait to see what everyone else got.  Now I have to finish crafting and get my package sent out!

Close up two

Alright, I've been meaning to make some pearler bead coasters, and now I have the rainbow to do that.  The little shoe is really cute, but I'm not sure what I can use it for.

In other news, I started cleaning out my craft area this week and I think I need to participate in the next round of this...possibly with two boxes Cheesy

26  2 sets of sheets, a bedspread, and extra pillowcase in What the heck can I do with THIS? by wx2dzug on: April 08, 2008 12:59:14 PM
So I bought all of these things at the beginnig of the school year (August) and it turns out this was my first and last year in the dorms (YES!).  Next year my bed will be bigger (so there is no resizing these extra long twin sheets to fit a bigger bed--at least I don't think so--correct me if I'm wrong please lol).  I love the softness of the pink ones (they are jersey cotton) and would like to make something that lets me continue to enjoy that softness.  The blue ones I don't care so much about.  I am considering curtains.  The bedspread is cheaply made, after only two washes the corners no longer have stuffing in them.  I just don't know, there are so many thnings!  Here are some pictures.

Sorry about the messy dorm room, and the fact that the sheets aren't so visible in this pic.  (Notice my coffee cup even matches my comforter!)  The comforter is reversible, but I am partial to the blue side.
Sorry I forgot to mention that the blue sheets are made of cotton.

28  Redhead sock monkey in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by wx2dzug on: February 16, 2008 09:01:30 AM
Right, so after much thought my friend just couldn't decide what to get her BF for vday, so we decided to make a sock monkey that looked like him.  It was very last minute, so the clothes are a little ghetto.  And you can't see in the pictures, but he's wearing heart boxers.  I've included a picture of the boyfriend (who is in college despite what you might guess from the picture) so that you all can see the resemblence.

Thanks for looking!

OK!
I received from my wonderful swapangel, jojo_modjo
She chose my theme of sock monkeys.
Sorry the pictures are terrible, I can't find my camera...I'm starting to think that someone stole it.

When I find my camera I'll post better pics.

I love everything, its really great, thanks so much!

30  a few necklaces and bracelets in Beads: Completed Projects by wx2dzug on: August 18, 2007 01:02:09 PM
Alright...so I made these in Mexico when I was bored out of my mind.  Mind you most of the beads are plastic and really cruddy.  Oh well.
