1  Doctor Who David Tennant Sock Monkey in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by wx2dzug on: January 09, 2014 06:15:20 PM
It had been awhile since I had made a sock monkey, and I decided to make a Doctor Who one for a friend.

Despite using all the same clothing patterns I've previously used for sock monkeys, they fit really poorly. I guess time lords are oddly proportioned  Tongue

The sonic screwdriver is polymer clay.

The tardis is just a cardboard box hastily made, which he is traveling inside of through the postal service.

2  Rainbow Chucks in Shoes: Completed Projects by wx2dzug on: May 29, 2013 08:53:39 AM
So I just got a new pair of Chucks, which reminded me how much I hated my white ones. So Which researching about dying them, I came across a picture of rainbow ones, and fell in love. I had some dye already, sei tumble dye, in red, yellow, and blue. I used a foam brush to apply it, let it dry, then threw them in the dryer to set the dye. Also, I used masking tape on the rubber just to be safe. I didn't get the shoes wet before I dyed them, but the colors might run better if you did.

Right after I dyed them, you can see the colors were darker at this point

The ugly before

Thanks for looking!

Hi there, so sorry I took so long to post these pictures, life got crazy on me. I love everything I got, and I've even worn some of the "junk" jewelry tero sent me because I liked it so much. I think I remembered who sent what, but correct me if I made a mistake.

7  my latest jewelry (pic heavy!) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by wx2dzug on: July 28, 2010 01:22:54 PM
So I finally got around to making a bunch of jewelry with the beads my aunt gave me. (She decided she wanted to take up jewelry making, went out and spent too much money on beads, then decided it wasn't for her. I've been collecting and trading beads quite a bit, but this is the first time I'm made a bunch of things. Let me know what you think.

8  chip clips/ highlighter pens in What the heck can I do with THIS? by wx2dzug on: April 15, 2010 02:06:16 PM
Luckily, Allstate has donated about 300 highlighter pens and 300 chip clips to my student organization. We are going to hand them out as prizes for a game we will have at Relay for Life. However, I don't think we will hand them all out, and it would be nice if they weren't all exactly the same.

I'm looking for ideas on alternative uses, ways to make them prettier, etc.

Pens look like these (except they are white and say Allstate)

Clips look like these(except they are all blue, and don't have the rubber grip part, and say Allstate, and have a magnet on the back)

Ideas are greatly appreciated.
