1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / backpack for my little sister on: March 27, 2008 02:47:42 PM
My little sister will be starting preschool soon and I wanted to make her a small backpack to carry her lunch in.
I used the pattern found here: http://www.ottobredesign.com/fi/kaavat/pdf/purse_EN_5-07.pdf and i just added a flap.

This is the pink that my little sister wanted  ^_^ I made a heart pocket out of felt.

Thanks for looking. Comments and criticism are welcome!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Birthday Bag! =) on: February 28, 2008 07:25:04 PM
For my mom's birthday I decided to make her another bag because the one I made her for Christmas didn't really work. 1) It needed to be bigger 2) It didn't have a closure 3) I wasn't really sure if I liked the fabric...but I like the fabric I used for this bag much better ^_^ I also made a few matching things to go along with it.

This is the bag:

This is a pouch I made for her. I like this kind of pouch because coins and other small items most likely won't fall out...it's good for me since I haven't tried a zipper pouch yet. =P

I also made her a tissue holder by using the awesome tutorial by the awesome pjherbert. Here's the tutorial:

And lastly I made a tea wallet thing..

And I guess since I'm taking Home Economics at my middle school I decided I wanted to try and make her a cake too....I'm just glad I had lots of frosting!

Thanks for looking! Any comments are welcome! ^_^

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / First Post in this Section! (Lots of pics) on: December 28, 2007 03:24:08 PM
For Christmas my mom got me a jewelry making kit. I haven't really done any jewelry and was extremely excited to start on it.

First these are the earrings I made my friend:

These are earrings I made for myself:

Another pair:

These are earrings I made for my other friend:

This bracelet is the first one I've made with out using the stretchy string (not sure what it's called:

This is a bracelet I made my grandma:

I made this for my mom: (She's wearing it)

And lastly, this is a jumble of necklaces my 3 year old sister made. She picked out all the beads and threaded them on herself. All I did was tie the string up.

:)Thanks for looking! Sorry for the number of pics and the size of them!
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Soccer Ball Hat on: December 26, 2007 10:36:26 AM
Hi everyone, I hope you guys had a fun Christmas!
For Christmas I made my brother a soccer ball hat. I'm not really sure if it goes in this section though because I didn't crochet the pentagons...they're cut out of brown felt and sewed on... Huh

Anyway, he loves to play soccer and watch his favorite teams play on TV, so I decided to make him this hat. He wore it a lot yesterday, but I think maybe he did that just to make me happy.  Cheesy

Comments welcome and Happy Boxing Day!
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / hat, scarf, and sumo piggy on: December 23, 2007 06:41:32 PM
Hi everyone! I decided to make my grandpa a hat and scarf for Christmas. I hope he'll like them. What do you think of the colors?

I made this a while ago for my friend. It's a sumo piggy. The picture's not the best though.

I used this for it: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=148022.0

Happy holidays everyone! I'm so excited for Christmas!

7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Fishes and zodiacs on: December 21, 2007 11:15:56 AM
For Christmas my sister painted pictures for all the adults in the family with people in traditional chinese costume with their zodiac. She also painted my little sister a puzzle.

Finding Nemo Puzzle: She bought a plain puzzle at Micheal's (I think) and painted it. My little sister loves the movie.

Rabbit:

Rooster:

Boar:

Dog:

I don't think these pictures do my sister's artwork justice, but if you have any questions I'll be happy to ask my sister and try to answer them.      Grin

Hi everyone....this is an octopus I made my sister using the pattern here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=114316.0
Mine definitely isn't as good and looks a bit different, but I hope she'll still like it.

And this is a hat I made my mom:
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Bag for my grandma on: December 18, 2007 10:35:21 AM
Hi everyone! This is a bag I made my grandma for Christmas...but I kind of feel like I should have made something else for her?  Huh But I hope she can/will use this sometime.

This is it being held up by my brother's skinny arm:

This is with the flap open to show the lining which is the cherry fabric:

Happy Holidays everyone!
10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Bag for my mom on: December 15, 2007 05:44:10 PM
Hi everyone! I just turned 13 not too long ago (yeah, another teenager  Undecided)which was kind of my motivation to finish this bag I made my mom for Christmas. I hope she'll like it.

I used the tutorial Mondenkind gave a link to, so thank you Mondenkind!

Here's some photos:

I know that it's lame, but this is the only pocket I put in.

I made this wristlet to go with the bag using the easy peasy snap wallet tutorial. I kind of messed up and made it a bit smaller than I wanted it too, but it still works.  Tongue The caribeener thing attaches to a loop on the inside of the bag. I still need to add the snap though.
