21  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / ball winders on: April 18, 2006 06:40:36 PM
If you are in the market for an inexpensive ball winder, Caras Knitting Machines & Fiber Arts sells them for $19.99 just so.  "just so" as in "it's not on sale."  Scroll down the page to see it.
22  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Coming full circle on: February 19, 2006 02:50:12 PM
I got some yarn from a friend and decided to make a Mbius shawl.  I later asked about different stitches that people had used to get some ideas and settled on a V-type stitch.

Let me know what y'all think.
23  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / One Infinite Loop on: February 05, 2006 09:34:13 PM
Has anybody ever made a moebius shawl or scarf?  If so, has anybody done it in something other than plain dc?  Are there any stitches that you think might look good in this pattern?  I've seen knit ones, but not so many crochet ones done in the round and not using one or two basic stitches.

I would like to make another one of these as a "springy" shawl and I was thinking that a plain dc would just be way too boring.
24  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Seeking great idea on: January 04, 2006 09:10:30 PM
A friend of mine sent me three skeins of Loft Classic in red.

Any suggestions as to what I can make with it?
25  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / DORMANT: Square Slippers on: December 08, 2005 08:20:54 AM
There was a knit-along for Squares Slippers, and I know that we could easily crochet them, too!

Not so hard, right?  Plus, who says that they have to be done with plain squares?  Be creative!

So, who wants to join?
26  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Learning to read patterns on: November 13, 2005 09:30:13 AM
Has anyone used How to Read a Pattern?  It looks like it would be helpful if someone wanted to learn how to read crochet patterns, but I have no idea if it would be.

Does anybody know of another place that gives good instructions on how to read crochet patterns?
27  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Alternative closures on: August 14, 2005 08:38:22 PM
Can somebody tell me some closures for pouches or bags other than zippers?  Like for a change purse or wallet.  I know that there are wallets with flaps on the coin purse section so that when closed, the coins can't fall out.

Any suggestions would be great!  Thanks  Grin
28  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Have Wool, Need Ideas on: April 13, 2005 04:28:46 AM
I have 2-50g skeins of wool that I want to full.

Ideas? Patterns?
