1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Makeup bags and clutch on: February 07, 2012 02:42:02 PM
Last night I whipped up some bags. I made 2 quilted makeup cases and one pleated clutch. All of them have zippered closures. The bigger makeup bag I am keeping for myself so I monogrammed my name on it. Excuse the crappy; I was bring lazy and decided to use my phone's camera.

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / New purse accessories on: January 31, 2012 02:57:02 PM
I sewed up some new wallets and coin purses this weekend. I figured I had plenty od modern fabric that I had forgotten I owned and that I should start using it.  I made 2 wallets, 2 zippered coin purses and a zippered card wallet.

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Quilted coin pouch on: January 24, 2012 01:52:05 PM
I digitized some coin purses that remind me of vintage quilted purses.  I stitched them out on vintage fabrics.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / I've been busy sewing little girls' clothes on: January 19, 2012 02:17:04 PM
I don't really do New Years' resolutions but I have set a silent goal for myself: keep busy sewing. So when I get home from work I force myself to create at least half of something. So I've been working on tiny tot clothing.

5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Quilted teeny stockings on: December 11, 2011 04:03:01 PM
I have been digitizing a lot of stuff lately, and one of the things I designed today was a mini stocking. I like them as little stockings, but they can actually be used as gift card/money holders; trinket holders; party favors, and ornies.

They are made all in the hoop without additional sewing and quilted. Thanks for peeking!
6  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Little Crayon Roll on: November 30, 2011 01:31:39 PM

I digitized this mini crayon roll to share for the holidays. I wanted to do something charitable and make a gang of these and add crayons and some little notepads/coloring books to donate to charities that are taking up items for the holiday season. I don't have it all, but my daughter and I do have what we need. I just wanted to share with people who are a bit less fortunate this time of year. It has been a rough year.

I am offering this file for download for a limited time so that some of you who may want to help donate to the youth but are not sure what to do can do a little something. Who knows how much it may help! It's for download here:  http://www.sewforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=196251 for those who are interested. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!!!!

8  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Mini bunting on: September 30, 2011 09:20:53 AM
I digitized a tiny bunting applique to use on note cards and such. It uses the tiniest bits of scraps. I made these mini cars to include in my swaps and packages for my shop. I was inspired by all the vintage sheet buntings that I found on flickr.

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / High-waist pleated shorts on: September 28, 2011 09:49:09 AM
I am apologizing now for the terrible quality of the photos. I haven't had enought time to take better pictures.

Monday, while at work, I started thinking about making some shirts. I didn't know exactly what I wanted. I just knew that I wanted pleats. When I got home I sketched out a quick pattern and set out to work. After a couple of hours of tinkering I came uo with these:

I used some lightweight denim, almost chambray-like, that was left over from some denim trousers a while back. I also put a small cuff in them. I think I'm going to add belt loops and pockets at some point.  Overall they are great!!!! Thanks for looking!
10  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / keychain owl wallets on: September 19, 2011 09:46:00 AM
