21  Re: Sweat Shoppe Swap Round 21 (signups til Nov 24) (send by Dec 14) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by klum78 on: November 21, 2009 03:37:06 PM
Love the hat Ruby!  And the stamps, and the keychains... etc.  Everything this round is great!

Here are pictures, finally, of the bookmark sets I am offering:

The average size is 6.5x2.25 inches.  Some are a bit bigger and some are smaller.

I am thinking I might have to come up with another offering between now and Monday.  There are sooo many things I would like to have.  Either for myself or as a gift.

Bummer about your train situation.  Good thing you had something to read.  Grin

Here are the two pics I snapped of dharma_rebel's hoodie:
I lined the hood, (great minds think alike!), appliqued the diamonds, and stenciled the skates.  I like that it turned out how it was pictured in my head.  The back is just plain.

As dharma_rebel stated earlier, we met up at a fun cafe on Monday to swap hoodies.  I received my (now) cool hoodie and some extras.

First up, the hoodie:

So cute, she used my dandelion theme.

Cute zipper pull made from shrinky:

and the tons of poppy seeds, I cannot wait to plant these!  I might sprinkle some on my MIL's 3 acres...

Thank you so much dharma_rebel!  It was really great to meet you in person.
Also, I took a pic of your hoodie before swapping it.  If you want, I can post it.

Yesterday I received my wonderful package from SarahBlais!  I was so amazed with everything she sent.   Grin

Here we go!
Wrapped up all pretty:

First package, some orange (!!!) FQ and a lovely Alice charm bracelet.

Close up of the bracelet, which is one of my absolute favorites in the package (sorry it's a bit blurry)  There is an Alice charm, a White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter's hat, a pocket watch, and an antique key:

Next package contained a tee with the most detailed sewing machine.  This was my other favorite-est item in the box.

I wore it today to the pumpkin patch with my family, it fits great:

Next package had a fun earring holder and a pair of earrings that matched the bracelet.  It's already in use in my bathroom:

In the last package was some felt food for my kiddos.  A couple of sugar cookies and a s'mores!  The s'mores is so detailed.  Yum.

Group shot:

Thank you soooo much Sarah, I love everything!!!

25  1 hour quilt *Rainbow Goodness* in Quilting: Completed Projects by klum78 on: October 17, 2009 11:08:45 PM
I was part of the Let's Strip swap awhile ago.  ( http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=301551.0 )  I received a fun 13 inch by 42 inch rainbow strip from mlookyloo1.  My daughter is always stealing her brother's baby blankets to used for her baby dolls and stuffed animals.  So I decided to made her a doll quilt one night.  This was the perfect strip for her because she says all colors are her favorite!

I took the strip and cut it in half then sewed the two halves together.  Used some batting scraps and a pre-made bias binding strip I had in my stash.  And voila(!) a mini quilt in an hour.

It's about 12 by 26

And a peak of the back fabric, which I love:

Thanks for looking, let me know what you think.  Smiley

27  I hate my quilting! Do you hate it too? in Quilting: Discussion and Questions by klum78 on: September 30, 2009 03:41:48 PM
I made this quilt for a friend's new baby.  I loved it... until I quilted the darned thing!  The stitching did not turn out like I had hoped at all.  I don't normally do a stitch like this but I wanted to try something new.  I had seen it on another quilt but now I am thinking that other one might have been done on a long arm machine.   I feel like it looks really bad!  I am contemplating ripping out all of my stitching.  What is your opinion?

Whole thing:

Up close:

Ugh!

I love the Mario ornaments!  The green mushroom is my favorite.

I claimed two typewriter pendants from AsphaltQueen and I don't think she posted a picture.  So here they are:

I love it and have been wearing it almost everyday.  Thank you AQ!
