2  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Is that a yo-yo? on: June 14, 2006 10:16:17 PM
I thought I'd share a story.  When the weather is not raining here in Seattle, I tend to take my spindle for walks.  (My biggest craziness was one goregous day when I walked home from work the long way [about 4.5 mi/ 7.3 km], spinning almost the whole time!)  Recently, I was walking along, and I noticed that 2 grandmotherly-looking ladies were looking at me a bit quizically.  When I finally got closer to their porch, one remarked, "Oh, we thought you had a yo-yo."  They didn't seem to think my little habit was odd at all.
3  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / bread baking on a grill? on: June 14, 2006 09:57:47 PM
Greetings everyone,

I'm thinking about experimenting with baking bread on my grill (charcoal/wood fired).  Anyone out there ever try it?  Suggestions?

4  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / completed projects-thread organization on: March 02, 2006 12:49:32 AM
Greetings everyone,

I was just wondering what everyone thinks of this idea I have.  With all the Fiber Fridays, Twisted Tuesdays, and various other days of the week in the completed projects board, I was wondering if anyone ever gets them confused.  I kinda do.  So, I was thinking about trying to organize them so that the most recent one is most prominent.  What do y'all think?

7  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / long time coming swap picture on: October 10, 2005 12:04:24 PM
Greetings everyone,

Since the handspun swap was sometime ago, but I just now have a picture, I thought I'd just post a picture here of the wonderful handspun artistrachelmarie sent to me.  The yarn deserves to be seen:

It is red, green, and purple . . . all kool-aid dyed, if I remember correctly.  I'm still consdiering the possibilities for a project.
