Sounds like a good idea to me, what is your meeting venue?
443  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Girl's Day Dolls on: August 09, 2007 04:06:47 PM
March 3 is Girl's day in Japan. There is a whole ritual involved with getting dolls for girls, and girls displaying the dolls, etc. Has anyone ever made any Girl's day dolls?
444  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Collaborative Journaling on: August 09, 2007 10:43:37 AM
I am new here, and I appreciate the civility of this community. I am currently very involved in collaborative/altered journaling, and so far have had good luck with my projects moving right along from person to person, and have been blown away by the results. Who here is also into collaborative/altered journaling?
445  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: I'm worried about size on: August 09, 2007 10:37:48 AM
I like infinite annie's idea of the single crochet edging, it will allow you more flexability in the long run.
446  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: altered book theme question? on: August 09, 2007 10:25:47 AM
This doea not exactly answer your question, but i got a lot of inspiration for altered books from reading and viewing Frida Kahlo's journal.
447  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Seed Paper? on: August 09, 2007 10:23:36 AM
you can use two pieces of barely damp paper towels, put the seeds in the middle and press them together, let them dry well, and then you can cut, pase, or decorate the paper any way you want.
448  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: old book to journal problem on: August 09, 2007 10:21:10 AM
When I am doing altered books, sometimes I like to glue several pages together to make thicker pages, then I don't have to re-do the signatures.

Yup, it can be scary to finally be allowed to have time for self-realization. Scary, scary freedom! Personally, I would do some non-structured journaling/automatic writing about this, and see what comes out.

Yes, I think penlowe is right. If you try to do this any other way, the results will be very unsatisfactory. I have a love/hate relationship with kinko's, but soemtimes you just need their help.
