22  Frisky Dingo in Stenciling: Completed Projects by Purelectricity on: March 03, 2008 12:43:26 PM
For Christmas I made my boyfriend a bunch of Adult Swim themed presents.  One of them was this Frisky Dingo shirt:

Ive been stenciling for a few years now and Im not all pleased with the way that this one came out.  He likes it but for some reason no matter how hard I tried the orange still looked blotchy.  I think it might just be the blue and orange together.

Its kind of hard to Steven Colbert a pose with yourself.

23  Octopurse! in Needlework: Completed Projects by Purelectricity on: February 22, 2008 12:24:17 PM
One of the cheapest crafts I have ever made.  The purse was bought for me by my Nana at a second hand store for $.50.  The floss I had but since I used 3 colors Ill just say that was around $1.50.

On to the purse.  This picture is very true to the actual color:

Thanks for looking.  Cheesy

Like DaisyTattoo said up there^^ Im going to be posting pictures of the package I sent her.  Enjoy!

Here is the front of the bag:

Back right hand corner of the bag:

My first time making a liner and/or pockets!

I sent her Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, 2 books for her adorable son, and a magnetic bookmark.  I made an exact bookmark for myself because I loved it so much.  Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it before I sent.  Maybe DaisyTattoo can post a picture when her boyfriend gets back to town.

AHHH! Mine was delivered and I am at work!  SAD!!  I'll post pictures soon and I'm sure I'm going to love it  Grin

25  Marauder's Map tote! in Needlework: Completed Projects by Purelectricity on: February 21, 2008 06:06:56 PM
This was for my friends birthday.  We are both big Harry Potter nerds so she loved it and I loved making it.  I freehanded the handwritting/drawing and then embroidered it.

This was pre-ironing and seconds after I finished.  Not sure what that black spot is on there...maybe a shadow? lol.

The back!  Thanks for looking.

26  Embroidered Canvas Basket in Needlework: Completed Projects by Purelectricity on: February 01, 2008 11:52:08 AM
This is a canvas basket I embroidered for a baby shower.  The image came from Doodle Stitching and was suggested for a scrapbooking cover.

Here is another view of it:

The basket was pretty easy to embroider on.  No hoop required.  The mom really enjoyed it and now it is being using on his changing table.  Smiley

This was my 23rd birthday cake.  I chose the image and my amazing boyfriend decorated my cake.  His mom decorates cakes so he has grown up with piping bags and buttercream icing his whole life.  I could tell he did it by the handwritting at the top lol.  Yeah, he has skills Smiley

The image is from:

Hello Kitty's Sewing line- I love it.

30  Oh, my, god. Becky, look at her butt. in Needlework: Completed Projects by Purelectricity on: December 12, 2007 08:06:05 AM
My 15 year old sister loooves Sir Mix-a-lots Baby got back song.  I found these shorts in a thrift store for $2 brand new.  I embroidered them for her for Christmas.

I hand drew the letters and embroidered them.  Some of the stitches are messy.  I guess I should really invest in some t-shirt stabilizer.  Im still happy with them.

I guess it is kind of ironic since they are a size XS.
