11  Ballerina Pig in Completed Projects by Purelectricity on: June 01, 2008 09:04:49 AM
This was a gift for a 1 year old girly girl.

I bought the pig from Micheals and the tulle from their wedding decorations.  The pink and white gingham ribbon was from my stash.  Everything was stuck on with hot glue.  I didn't know if this was the best glue to use but it seems to be holding strong.  This is a cute and SUPER quick present for any little girl.

This is my friend Patti's tattoo.  I'm posting it because I picked out the monkey and the letters are in my handwritting.  It is a tattoo in honor of her son (her little monkey) and it is in my handwritting because I am her sister from another mother Smiley

15  Tim & Eric awesome embroidery! in Needlework: Completed Projects by Purelectricity on: April 26, 2008 09:38:28 AM
This past Thursday my boyfriend and I traveled tp Ashville, NC to see the live tour for Tim & Eric Awesome Show Great Job!  I wanted to give them some fan art because if you have ever seen the show they have a wall that they hang it all on in their office.

So- on to the embroidery!

Close up-

I used 6 different stitches to make the image.  It is based off of this pictures:

They loved the embroidery and said that they couldn't wait to hang it up in their office after the tour  Cheesy  And for fun here are some shots with them after the show.  Ignore the doofy grins and the creepy girl in the background.  Gahhh I hate it when people do that lol.

Thanks for looking.

OllieOrange let me know that she received a few days ago so I'm going to go ahead and post pictures for her :

My medium item.  A Tim and Eric reference to their skit "Beaver Boys" who seduce women with white wine and shrimp:

One of the small items.  Also from T&E.  Chippy is a little guy that likes to hang out in pretty scenery:

My other small item.  Some marble magnets from Squidbillies (bottom row) and Futurama (top row):

I also included some B'owl stickers.

Here os my amazing package from Beefranck-

Everything:

Including the subversive stitching book I've been eyeing.

She included a ton of subversive patterns:

As someone who works in customer service, "of course I care" and "thanks for sharing" will proudly be displayed Smiley

Some smaller cross stitches and her first needlebook:

Finally- the big project:

I heart Steven T. Colbert!

Action Shot!  This is where it is hanging above my computer with my other Colbert posters:

Thanks again Beefranck!  I love everything and thanks again for helping me get started with cross stitching Smiley

I finally found my box from Suepea.  She did an amazing job stalking.  I feel so spoiled.  Ok enough chatter-

The first thing was a pair of tiny felted owls in a frame:

The next picture is of an owl necklace and a knitted bird.  She had suggested that I use it as a pin cushion.  No way!  I would feel bad lol.

Next she sent me some stitch markers (As a VERY new knitter I have no idea how to use them lol) and 2 pins.  One broke in transit but I have already fixed it.

And last but not least- directly from my wists!- a crazy cat lady figurine.  My very own crazy cat had to get in her own action shot.

I only have 2 cats and now I'm the crazy cat lady ...gah Wink

Seapea thank you so much for everything!  You turned the crappy day I was having upside down.

Here are the cookies I made for it:

We have crazy pills, happy pills, gdilf, gmilf, bingo, FL or bust, I <3 my grandkids, and one viagra.

Action shot!

Thats my friend Patti appropriately dressed in her grandpa glasses and a Golden Girls shirt.  She loves her grandkids!

The cookies were a hit and all gone by the time we played bingo Cheesy
