6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: I need help with this old desk! on: February 07, 2008 02:09:27 AM
Hello there,
personaly, I would take the knocker handles off and replace them with some nice rope. As for decoupage, I spose it depends how big or small your pictures were that you`re thinking of putting on. I myself would probably look at the desk as one solid chunk, rather than seperate bits ( ie, drawers ) and draw the basic shape of the whole object on some paper. Then randomly draw on the kind of pics you`ll be using, baring in mind the shapes and sizes.  Then once I was happy, I would draw where the drawers go on the object ( desk ) and see what it looks like.
As for the top, I don`t know what you could do. You could always take it off and replace it, if that`s possible. Or even try stapeling a nice piece of material over it.
Anyway, just some ideas for you.
