13  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Kittyville hats are better when they match on: August 17, 2007 12:00:02 AM
Awwwwww

Those hats are adorable. I wish I'd thought of something as cute as making little bows [out of i-cord?] when I made my friend one for christmas.

I may have just heard this wrong but....
I was watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets the other day and Ginny asked Molly "Mum, have you seen my jumper?" and Molly said "It's on the cat dear."

I know a jumper is a sweater but she cant possibly mean a cat...maybe I should have just turned on the subtitles. :/

Thats awesome! I would never take the time to sew felt onto a knitted hat, let alone cut it [i have huge problems with cutting cloth...] I have a friend thats a WoW geek. A bunch of friends actually. I should make one of them a hat like this, get them all together, then toss it in the air so they'll all fight over it or something goofy like that. Haha.

Ah! How adorable! Maybe I'll overcome my fear of knitting a sweater too.

I love you. Haha. This is amazing.
18  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Double Knit Om Scarf on: August 15, 2007 01:01:29 AM
Weee! How neat! Double knitting scares me. I watched the video on knittinghelp.com and it just scared even more crap out of me.

I hate knitting in the summer. Everything piles up in the corner and you wanna wear it so bad but you might get heat stroke or something if you do. :/
19  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Slytherin Scarf + Camera cozy :] on: August 11, 2007 10:03:05 PM
Yay! These were both knit a looong time ago [Camera case in May, which I guess isnt that long ago. Scarf finished mid December to late December, I'm not entirely sure.]

I loooooove the scarf soo much. It's so warm and toasty in the winter. Id overheat in January sometimes because of the scarf! Then I'd give it to a freezing friend and be like "NEVERMIND GIVEITBACK"

Anyways, here are some pitchas!

Scarf[being worn!]

It's knit in the style of the newer movies but I made the fringe in the style of the first movies. I dont really like the short fringe that much. I have no idea how long it actually is but when both sides are exactly alligned the fringes reach my ankles and the scarf itself reaches my calves so I wrap it around my neck two or three times at school. I'm 5 feet tall. So yeah. Maybe 8 feet long? Shocked

And my camera case! The yarn is almost as bright as it looks in the picture, haha. I just knit one long strip then seamed up the sides.

:]
