1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Hedgehog Eye Mask on: March 04, 2008 04:38:50 PM
I made this eye mask recently for a swap.  It was inspired by a mask made by Ity-bity bags on Etsy.  I traced an eye mask I had at home to make a pattern then hand-appliqued the hedgehog and mushroom on the top layer before sewing all the layers together and binding them with bias tape.  This was the first time I had ever used bias tape and it took much longer to sew on than I thought it would.  All sewing on this was done by hand.  Enjoy!

2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / First Quilts- 2 Baby quilts on: November 08, 2007 09:40:43 AM
I recently moved to a different state and two of my friends were pregnant at the time.  Since I wouldn't be there for the births, I wanted to do something extra special for them so I made them each a baby quilt.  These are my first two quilts ever and I learned alot while making them.  They are machine pieced and quilted.  I have more close-ups if people are interested.  Let me know what you think.

3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Felt Camel and Horse on: October 24, 2007 09:57:00 AM
A while ago I started to explore sewing small toys with felt.  These are two of my creations.  I got my inspiration from a book called Sewing Tiny Toys.  The limbs on both the horse and the camel are jointed and are movable.  Each one is about 4 inches high at the tallest part.  They are completely handstitched and stuffed.  Enjoy the pictures and let me know what you think.
